The unexpected.
If the play calling issue has truly been resolved, Alex will have the appropriate time to adjust. Alex usually gets two plays called in at once. IMO Alex was only getting one and a half of the play calls in. This in turn was causing the massive amount of confusion. This resulted in the only thing we ever consistently witnessed was Alex's mad dashes to the right. When Alex was rolling out to the left it looked and felt strange in 49er Land...
I never though I would be happy with the QB be rolling out of the pocket anywhere, but with him rolling out both ways gave me a good indication that Alex had an epiphany. We can thank Raye for that..

What Can We Expect from Jimmy Raye's Offense?

I'm confused. I'm not sure what to expect in Week 3? Hopefully we just continue to progress and we should be fine if we can limit our turnovers. It's like we keep shooting ourselves in the foot!

Does anyone else have the Monday night game recorded. I swear, there were still a ton of communication errors...loved how the camera panned over to Singletary each time too. The network was all over this topic and the MNF crew talked about it a lot and how unacceptable it is esp. at this level. But what I want to see is if anyone else saw Alex constantly looking to his wristband and motioning to the sideline to get the play in. He still looked frustrated with it. Anybody else see that? I just sort of got the sense Alex was saying saying "Eff this. OK boys, here is MY play" and could see it even more when he had total control of the offense on the last drive. KC is going to be interesting, isn't it?
Watched the game twice, but didn't notice the thing with Alex. I'll have to watch again. Either way, I believe the easy fix is to let Alex call his own plays.
I believe we can exect to build on Monday night and go on a winning streak, starting with KC. The Offense will perform a lot better than they did in Seattle......

Thanks for watching (my DVR didn't record ). I thought I saw quite a few TO, penalties d/t communication errors, whether that was d/t personnel groupings (VD late to the huddle or 12 men on defense, crucial 5 yard penalties, etc.) I don't know what was going on. The worst was the TO "after" a TO. But I swear I saw Alex looking at his wrist band a lot and a few times motioning to the sideline to hurry up. The commentators were talking about it a lot too and how this should be resolved by pop warner. MM claimed Raye called all the plays in the 2-minute drill and if that was the case, props to Raye and Alex making the plays and scrambling with his legs and a good call on the Gore TD after they spread 'em out.
