Name your ALL TIME 49er Coaching Staff

Don't think I've seen this one posted before... If it has been, my apologies...

I'm not too great at our history before the Glory Days... but I know my HC is a given... the Great Bill Walsh, and DC would probably be Mora... Shanahan as OC...

What would be your ideal ALL TIME 49er Coaching Staff

I'd take Seifert as DC over Mora. However, there probably were some coaches pre-77 that were pretty good, but I'm not familiar with them.

DC - Siefert
OL - McKittrick
QB - Shanahan
RB - Dennis Green

In short, the mid to late 80's crew.

He was the greatest IMO. We had some great OL's under his coaching. Watch the "America's Game" on the '84 Niners and check out Russ Francis' take on McKittrick.

HC- Bill Walsh

OC- Mike Shanahan

DC- George Siefert

O-Line- Bob McKtrick

QB- Mike Holmgren

WR- Dennis Green (he was a WR's coach NOT a RB's coach with us)

RB- Tom Rathman

TE- Mike Solari

D-Line-Jim Tomsula

Linebackers- Mike Singletary/John Marshall

Secondary- Jeff Fisher/Ray Rhodes

ST's- George Stewart

Offensive quality control- John Gruden (yes he held that posistion with us in 1990)

Seifert was one of the greatest DC's of all time. He will never get the credit that he deserves, but there is no question about the fact that he's the pick here

Nothing to argue with. All of the above. Not sure about OC between Holmgren and Shanny.

I believe Holmgren was OC for the 88, 89 and 90 team. Case closed. That '89 team was one of the three best teams in the history of the NFL, maybe number one. Over a hundred point win differential in the playoffs.
