Rivermark and North First Street (Chipotle, Five Guys, Fresh and Easy) plazas be forewarned, the traffic you see during the normal lunch rush will astronomically rise after this stadium is up and running. That's the first thing I thought of today as I was struggling to find parking during lunch yesterday. I hope they'll be able to scale with an influx of NFL fans.

Football is mainly played on Sundays. And the weeknight games are few and at night. Not sure how that will affect the normal lunch rush.

There might be more of a rush now while you have all of these construction workers around... but even then most of their lunches are either catered or they bring it. And I dont see how it will affect parking during the season...

Actually it was a crane that collapsed during construction, IIRC.

I didn't say the stadium will be built wrong, just sometimes s**t happens when rushed...Santana row had to built twice because of a big fire and that crane failed without testing the weight first
These guys get a fat bonus if they finish early

Yeah, I would hate for the next 30 to 50 years at our new stadium to start off with a death(s) or injury. Something like that would put a huge damper on the project and bring really bad publicity. Knock on wood everything goes well and all are safe.

Hopefully nobody dies but history proves that it does happen on major construction jobs. 11 people died when the Golden Gate Bridge was built.

Just read that article and re-watched the vid. That's sad. You can see the other crane that had the 3 people who died it it get hit and drop like a rock. :(
