49ers 2009 Schedule thread

The schedule?

Nothing more than a list of teams we're going to beat each week.

This is my 49ers we're talking about. On gameday, they're better than any other team, even if it's not true.

In all seriousness, I can't make any record predictions until after the draft, and well.. after seeing a couple pre-season games, really.

Yea remember when JTO looked great in preseason

Actually. I thought he sucked and that our coaches tried to present an illusion that he was good.

JTO doesn't deserve to step foot on a football field again. The Bengals' act of signing him is disturbingly dumbfounding.

My main concern will be with defensive players. Offenses that tear it up in the pre-season often don't mean much. See Clayton, JTO, David Clowney (Jets), Ratliff (Jets).

this schedule has 16-0 written all over it.
This schedule doesn't look too bad. No nasty stretches against brutal teams like last year. Didn't we have Patriots, Eagles, NO, and Giants within successive weeks? Those weeks were brutal. This year has no stretches like that. The most I see is two really tough games in a row!

annnd... two primetime games (woo hoo!!!), and 10 days to prepare for a game IN Green Bay. Wow, that is good!!!

After further review, here is an admitted homer's breakdown of the season:

@Cardinals - W we knock them out early to set tone for season
Seahawks - W home opener advantage
@Vikings - L vikes too much talent and will overcome Favre's mistakes
Rams - W as sure a win as you're going to find
Falcons - W Atl sluggish after bye week, young QB's + road games don't mix
BYE
@Texans - W bye week rest will rejuvenates team
@Colts - L Peyton is just too good
Titans - W they will win cause i'm going to this game
Bears - W has-been bears defense and IMO young overrated QB
@Packers - L tough road game to win against IMO top NFC team
Jaguars - W it's a long road trip for the jags
@Seahawks - W i think we have Seattle's number this season
Cardinals - W ditto with the Cardinals
@Eagles - L another hard road trip against elite team
Lions - W I will shoot myself if we lose this game
@Rams - W a W to lock up first round bye

End of the season record: 12-4, 6-0 in the division

I agree!
I seriously don't fear any team in our division. I say 5-1 in the division losing only to Seattle at their house.

I agree except that we can win in Seattle with success there that past couple seasons. Also we're going to punch Arizona in the mouth so hard on opening day that they won't be able to recover for the rest of the season.

To be honest, I'm not sure if we can keep up with some of these high powered offenses? Upon further review, I now expect 10-6 at best! We'll be in every game until the end...that I know. However, I'm not sure we have enough to win when it really comes down to it?
