I voted for "close to playoffs" because we were close last year and we're essentially the same team, but I think we will play better next year, so....I'm cautiously optimistic. But there's a long way to go before our team is set, and there's still a few essential holes that have yet to be filled, so we'll see.

Definitely too early. I'm still holding out for improvements to the O-Line and some semblance of a pass rush through F/A. Do that, and I think we can talk about possible playoffs.

draft draft draft draft draft.
I don't expect anything other than development with some key players (Balmer, Lawson, Morgan, Rachal, Goldson, both of the Hills).
We might surprise some people, I don't expect much although.

yeah, the oline depth is a major need. i imagine that or the pass russ/d line situation will be handled in the draft, which is why i, too, hold out being too optimistic...but also the backup running back spot is going to be key, i believe. i'm interested to see what the plan is there.

Imagine if we get any injuries.

We are going to suck for sure. We are looking at a guaranteed top 10 pick in 2010 and maybe even a top 5 pick.

Yeah, I guess there really isn't much depth behind Gore, is there?
The other wild card in all this is the wideouts. Sooner or later, we hope, one of the youngsters sees the light and turns the corner. If that happens, playoff chances go up, but you just can't count on that.
