2014 NFL Draft Smoke Show Rumors

Less than a week to go. Here are a few noteworthy rumblings around the league. Monday will be flowing with rumors so I figured I'd get out in front of the gun:

I heard that we might trade with the cowboys....
Move up and grab some Safety out of LSU, I think he will become a pro-bowler

This is smokescreen time. Everything we hear this next week and last week is alot of BS.

This. The more I hear about the 49ers drafting Evans, Beckham or some others, the less likely I think it is that the 49ers draft those guys. Last year the 49ers were always interested in Reid but around draft time the rumors were that the 49ers liked Vaccaro a lot and were considering trading up for him, DJ Swearinger was mentioned along with Johnathan Cyprien.

Baalke is pretty clever tho, I feel like one of these drafts they are going to buck their drafting trends on purpose and leak their real target to the media... Therefore fooling other teams and I really hope that year is this year...49ers select ODB

Somebody has fallen in love with Johnny Football would be my guess if that's true. I think Manziel will be the best QB of the bunch and think Manziel> Russel Wilson. Also I think Carr will be a bust.

GM's are busy phoning their counterparts exploring a lot of "what if" scenarios...as Baalke explained, often you react after some deals have gone down...to make your own. It's virtually impossible to know what teams will do...IF Cowbags are serious about Manziel, they'll likely have to trade up to get him. If that happens, we won't be dealing w/Dallas, at least in 1st rd. Ravens would seem to be a more likely trading partner. They have their own savvy GM, Ozzie Newsome.
