That said, I almost expect the pick to be Ertz. Surprise pick would be Justin Hunter.

I would vomit if we picked Hankins

He'll be just as good as Jesse Williams. Brandon Williams will be better than both.
All good picks.

I don't think we pick another S until late like JJ Wilcox or Duke William - both would be excellent late round selections - IMO.
I don't think I can think of 10 names I'd be happy with at 34. But I'll give it a shot:

1. Tank Carradine
2. Alex Okafor
3. Zach Ertz
4. Jonathan Hankins
5. Kawann Short
6. Da'Rick Rogers
7. Travis Kelce
8. Kennan Allen
9. Robert Alford
10. Jamar Taylor

Basically, I wan't a difference maker. Somebody that makes us better. Reid doesn't make us better, he just replaces Goldson. We need improved pass rush, scoring, and coverage of slot receivers.

SFGATE have us linked to Bennie Logan.....thoughts?

Can't be surprised at any pick Baalke makes. Just remember so many media outlets including locals were saying we were trading up for Richardson or Austin.
Logan is a player no one saw coming but since it's leaked it's another player

I think they are linking us to him at a later pick, not at 34.

In pass rush:
Hankins > Jesse

In run support:
Jesse > Hankins

Both have major strengths and major weaknesses. I also like Brandon Williams. He is more well rounded, but doesn't dominate in any particular category.

i like this list but id put Hunter first because im an offensive guy and i think he makes our WR core one of the best.

plus whatever faults he has he can get advice from Boldin

but also want a solid DL to replace Justin Smith

He's a better pass rusher than Hankins and Jesse. I think he also has more room to develop than the other two.

I think reid does make us better, He's younger and has more range than goldson, just as good a hitter, takes better angles and will not get you 15 yard peniltys ever play and will play within the system he's not going to be free lancing and blowing coverages and not helping the cb's because he decided to jump a short route when he's the deep guy.. 8 million a year is retarted Goldson who is worth about 5-6 million, and vastly over rated the front 7 makes him look better.

Another safety that early would be very strange, as both Spillman and Dahl will guaranteedly be around this season.

FS: Reid... Spillman... McBath... Thomas
SS: Whitner... Dahl... Robinson

I honestly wouldnt mind them drafting another safety. Baalke has said that he would like to similar ability safeties Whitner sucks in coverage. With it being a passing league right now I wouldnt mind seeing another safety with similar abilities to Reid. As good as our DL, and LBs are I would much rather have safeties who can cover.
