WR Aaron Dobson Marshall

For those of you searching high and low for a wide receiver with the size to be a threat in the red zone, the ability to win the jump ball opportunities when one on one coverage, the speed to take the top off the defense, and the hands to make the jaw dropping catches(http://youtu.be/YCdFFFAxLz0). If this sounds like the type of player your interested in adding to our team, keep an eye on Aaron Dobson. At 6'3, he has the body and basketball skills to box defenders out with his body to make the tough catches and is a willing blocker. He ran a 4.4 and 4.42 40 yard dash at his pro day. When he came to Marshal originally, he had to choose between basketball and football, but clearly had the talent to play either or. Unfortunately, I can't find any vertical or broad jump measurements for him.

The best part about this guy is he can be had in the 2nd to 3d round range, and maybe later but probably not. He has first round talent. The reasons why he won't be drafted in the first round are due to lack of production as a result of not having an NFL caliber quarterback throwing him the ball and a knee injury that held him out of a few games and slowed him down a little his senior year. He was productive at Marshal none the less. Especially his junior year before his knee injury. At only 22 years old, he still has the time and the potential develop into either a great #2 receiver or a very good #1 receiver.

Let me know what you guys think about this guy, and when or if you think we should draft him, and if he's not your diamond in the rough receiver after this, who is?
Been well aware of him, but like to see this thread anyway. I'd be happy to see us draft him with our late 2nd or early 3rd. Dobson's big and fast... has strong hands and the wingspan for tough grabs. He would complement Crabtree well on the other side.
What is not to love about a guy who gets no separation vs. weak competition? Never more than 700 receiving yards in a season. Saw him play against 2 NFL caliber CBs (Josh Johnson [5-7th rounder this year] and Ricardo Allen [mid - round guy next year]) and he was a complete non - factor. Johnson (all 5'10 of him) completely made him a disappear in the redzone. They tried one time to give him a fade, and he allowed the ball to be ripped out of his hands by Johnson without much effort. After that, they didn't look his way at all in the redzone. Came away completely unimpressed.
Dobson wont be a good pro, like the post above he just doesnt get good separation. Now to say he has a bad qb you must not have watched marshall football. http://marshall.rivals.com/cviewplayer.asp?Player=441443 4200 yards and 37 tds is pretty f**king good tbh.and at a 70% clip.

If I remember correctly, I think they also had the #1 passing offense, if at the very least it was top 5.
