You would have said the same thing last March if someone told you the 49ers would take AJ Jenkins and LaMicheal James 1 and 2.

First of all, Cyprien is most likely to be a SS in the NFL...not just my opinion, but one shared by many analysts. Secondly, the last time the Niners took a S in the 1st rd was '92, when they drafted Dana Hall. They're just not prone to take any S that early. I'd say Baalke will take the best big DL on the board at #31...one of the guys who can play anywhere. I do like Jamar Taylor at #34...but I'd then take Phillip Thomas at #61. He's a true FS...and a real warrior. Have to admit, the rest aren't very inspiring.

One DL the whole draft? I've had better.
