So apparently one of my favorite corners is moving up fast on the draft boards. On NFL.com 3 of the 4 have him going in the First Round and one has him projected to the niners at #31. Although I really like him as corner, I don't like taking him with our first pick in the draft. Probably has more to do with him being a projected 3rd round pick just a few weeks ago. Sounds eerily similar to last years pick. Thoughts? And would it seem like the AJ pick all over again?

Baalke should take him wherever he sees fit if that's the player he wants.
The way to avoid a AJJ repeat is NOT bench him all season, maybe even start him.

what I learned about baalke is that I never even hear about his 1st round picks prior to the draft. somehow I completely overlooked aj and aldon and once they were selected I said to myself "Who da fu*k is that"

Taylor is a speedy CB I'm interested in as well. Niners may move Culliver to FS (with Dahl as a backup) and shore up CB with a Taylor and/or sign Nnamdi.

That would be something to see. That would be something like Baalke and Harbaugh to see this and do this. I like it. Is Taylor a big CB?

With one of the first two picks it would disappoint me. After that I'd be down with it.

What would make Taylor a better pick than Amerson?

The fact that he won't be a bust like Amerson. But Amerson should play safety and Taylor is a cb.
Taylor is not that big, but he is extremely physical and has nice speed. Very impressed with him during the senior bowl practices.

He did really good in dl vs wr drills. I think this draft is deep in talent but that doesn't mean its all first rd talent. I think hes a mid 2nd to early 3rd talent. He needs to work on reading routes, his strength at the line, and footwork. although if baalke thinks someone will snatch him mid 2nd maybe we move up but I just dont see it happening. Im kinda hoping for banks, trufant, slay, poyer anyway. Please stop saying "move culliver to safety" if the coachs thought he was more valuable there he would move there. Hes making steady progressions and if brown leaves after next year were going to need him not ti mention rogers declining play could result in him being replaced. cb is going to be unstable for the next 2 years we need cully.

I see us dropping out of the 31st and back into the 2nd. Or moving to 21st spot. but definately not going 31st. I could bet one of my testes on it.

I watched this kid alot. He doesnt have the upside IMO. He may be solid, but he will never be a star. rounds one and two are way too high for him.
Robert Alford is the CB we should be targeting

Such an absolute... tsk, tsk..
Taylor would be a nice selection in the late 2nd rd. I think earlier than that is just too much hype. Fast, physical.. not limited to a NCB role.
I hope we get Jordan Poyer or Darius Slay in rd 2 though.
Alford, I'd like.. if we wait till our early 3rd for a CB.

NFL Draftscout compares him to Rhonde Barber ... with some work. They have him as 47th overall prospect.
