I highly doubt we take him now that we signed Dorsey. Both are not much for rushing the passer. I still think one of our first two picks could be a pass rushing 5-technique to mold behind Justin and Mac, such as Datone Jones or Kawann Short.

Me too. It would provide.rotation, youth, and competition.

The thing I like about Jesse is that he can legitimately play both DE and traditional NT. Any player who is drafted as a 1st round pick must make an impact. If Williams can make an impact to occupy blockers to improve the pressure the LB corp puts on the backfield, then I still like him at 31.

This is a great time for the strong nose tackle, but Williams has always flashed athleticism, especially at the end spot in 2011. We think he will be selected some time during the later part of the first-round and projects at multiple spots along the defensive line.

I think that we would have to trade up to get Datone Jones, and not sure we could make the deal.

I think Kwann Short will be drafted to play a 4-3 tackle. I just doubt that he has the disposition or motor to be a 3-4 DE.

Take Jesse Williams at nose. Rotate Glenn Dorsey with Justin Smith and Ray McDonald. Grab a rookie DE (5-tech) to join the rotation as well.

That would be useful when we play Arizona, their QB's will have to drop back 40 yards not to get hit.

Hes an interesting of prospect. Hes athletic and obviously in good shape. Hes onky been playing for 4 years so I have a feeling that his potential hasn't been tapped. I wouldn't mind him at 31 or 34 just on his ceiling and versatility.

These differences are just one more reason to take the 40 times with a grain of salt.

But, anything below 5.00 is good for a man his size.

He also did well in the shuttle and 3 Cone, and those drills may be more important than the 40.

One site said he ran a 4.84 and a 4.92, the 3 cone in 7.69.

Here is one with a 4.78.

No official times were released but Alabama said Jesse Williams was clocked between 4.78-4.90 seconds.

Another had him at 4.90 in the 40, at 7.69 in the 3 cone, and 4.78 in the shuttle.
