31: Jonathan Banks

34: Kawann Short

61: Phillip Thomas

D-Line and safety, the better prospect first.
31: Johnathan Cyprian
34: Tyler Eifert
Cyprien and DL, either pick.

Walter Football has us with:

31. San Francisco 49ers: Jonathan Cyprien, S, Florida International
Despite making the Pro Bowl, Donte Whitner hasn't been very good this year (he surrendered more touchdowns than any safety). Dashon Goldson, meanwhile, was slapped with a franchise tag this prior offseason. The 49ers, who might want to upgrade the secondary after Joe Flacco torched them in the Super Bowl, will need a replacement if they can't sign him to a long-term deal.

Jonathan Cyprien made this big leap recently. There's so much buzz about him recently, and there are multiple reports indicating that several teams have him ranked as the No. 2 safety in this class.

34. San Francisco 49ers: Margus Hunt, DE/DT, SMU
San Francisco acquired this pick from Kansas City on Wednesday afternoon. Go here for the grades I've given both the 49ers and Chiefs in the Alex Smith trade.

The 49ers' defense looked lost defensively when Justin Smith got hurt last year. Unfortunately for San Francisco, Smith will be 34 several months following the 2013 NFL Draft, and he'll also be entering his walk year. Injury insurance and an eventual replacement are needed.

31. Datone Jones or Tyler Eifert
34. D.J. Swearinger or Jordan Poyer

31: JONATHAN CYPRIEN S

34: trade back no lower than 40 pick up extra pick
Then draft
MARGUS HUNT DE

61 DA'RICK RODGERS WR
AARON DOBSON WR
Sylvester Williams at #31, Xavier Rhodes at #34. If he's off the board, then Logan Ryan.

Rhodes at 34? He won't make it out of the top 15.

Perfect. That said, there are so many great options for us where we are picking. If Keenan Allen really did fall then it would be difficult to pass him up. His hands are glue, his catch radius is profound, and he's exactly the kind of receiver someone like Kap needs to throw to.

If Baalke goes primarily by production over a college career, and he says does, we will not be taking Trufant with picks #31 or #34.

I know Trufant did well as the Senior Bowl and at the combine, but his production in college left a lot to be desired.
