No Kicker?
I' d like to see the 49ers trade their first or early second for next years one. If they get lucky they could end up with a top pick.
This is one of my favorite mocks so far! With the talent so even from the late first through the second why not try to capitalize? And I've always liked the tactic of drafting two guys for need spots--early and late.
Looks good but I'd take Dustin Hopkins instead of Sanders.

+1
I can't see them getting out of the mid rounds without some OL to provide depth and a pipeline.
yea need a kicker in there i think
Two safeties? Two rookies in the backfield? Do you have us keeping Whitner or releasing him? I think you can take Jesse Williams with your second 2nd rounder after he didn't test at the combine and only repped 225 30 times. With his short arms he needed to have 40 reps. Still a great 3-4 DE prospect, but I think his stocked drops 10-15 slots.

Depending on how they view Trenton Robinson, I don't mind 2 safeties: one for this year, and Wilcox to replace whitner when his contract is up.

Need a kicker, though, and I hat spending our highest pick on a DL that can't rush the passer. I don't like Ace Sanders at all.

Once you hit 30 reps...guess what, you're strong, going further only increases the chance of injury with minimal upside to the player. The whole bench press is f**king retarded anyways because the vast majority of people train for strength, not doing a whole lot of reps. The guy who holds the combine record for the bench press? Never played in a single game.

Not crazy about drafting 2 safeties. We definitely will draft a kicker
I think Goldson walks, so that leaves us needing a FS, and Whitner is not a long time answer, so that leaves a SS as well.

Thomas and Wilcox, as well as the CB alford, would address all the needs now and upcomeing for the secondary.

I purposely didnt draft a Kicker in this mock, just to fill in all the possible guys i would target in the given moves, but i can certainly see them drafting and kicker, and the likelyhood is high. I have us takeing a kicker in all my other mocks, this one i just wanted to fool around with trade options and moveing around to get prospects where i think they will get taken.

This draft prepares us if Goldson walks. I think Whitner will play out his contract and we'll have someone ready to step in a strong safety in 2014. I like the tactic of trading back for an extra second rounder. The way this draft is set up, we could have 5-6 future starters coming out of this 2013 class. My only issues are that we didn't draft a kicker and if we are going to get a returner/speedy receiver type, I'd rather go with Tavon Austin with either pick 31 or 34 than draft a guy who most likely will only be a returner specialist and wouldn't contribute nearly as much to our passing offense.
