why on earth would we replace Whitner when we haven't replaced Goldson?

Kenny Vaccaro will most likely be a top 20 pick.
Given the depth of the safeties in the draft, I would not trade up for him.
If we were to trade up in the first, I would rather take Dantone Jones or Tavon Austin.
I think we need to have both a free safety and a strong safety with good coverage skills.
Of the free safeties that we should be able to get without trading up, I like Phillip Thomas the most.
Bacarri Rambo has the skill set, but his two suspensions in the last two years present a problem.
Drafting David Amerson and moving him to free safety might be a good move, but apparently he got beat fairly often last year.
At strong safety, I like Johnathan Cyprien, but with all the hype he is getting he might be gone before we pick.
Earl Wolff might a sleeper at strong safety who might be worth taking with a later pick.

really? IMO I think its a hard position to learn. Your going to have a rookie as your last line of defense against the run and pass. I think rookies Safeties are prone to making a lot of dumb mistakes

Also, Fresno State has a history of playing aweful football against Boise.
IMO he may end up being the best FS in the draft. Tim Mcdonald has this kid ready for the NFL.
Better than his own kid, that's for sure.
