Unless we trade some picks for Revis, we need to trade up.

I want
Phillip Thomas
And either
Robert Alford or David Amerson
And the best available NT in the first round.
Add in a couple WR's in the mid/late rounds
we have other needs, but those positions are most glaring.

Moss is gone. Seriously doubt he is brought back. Ginn is gone as well IMO. That leaves, Crabtree, Manningham, Williams, Jenkins. Jenkins very well may be a huge bust, manningham will have a slow recovery. That leaves us with Crabtree and Williams as the only non question marks at WR. We need to draft a couple WR's and probably ring in several as UDFA as well.
I want either Melette, or Kaufman. Or both. Then i want Luke Tasker. Probably as an UDFA.

would also love Thomas and Alford
as noted, I'd expect the Niners to use alot of picks to move around in the draft, end up with 7 or 8 players

we definitely need a safety. coverage has ALWAYS been a problem with him. I live in buffalo and I seen him play bad in coverage all the the. Bills fans couldn't stand him.I love the idea of moving goldson to SS and drafting Philip Thomas.

I say we trade Deshon Goldson, Delanie Walker and a couple of mid picks to the Jets' Revis... Move Carlos Rogers at the FS position and draft JESSE WILLIAMS (Alabama) and more D rounds after rounds.
Last year's 1st pick is a waste, and Manningham is good as gone after his injury because he only signed 2 years.

Goldson and Walker are Free Agents, and there are no sign and trades like in the NBA.

I think one of the best things about having so many picks is the option to take high risk high reward gambles with a couple of them.
E.g Marcus Lattimore and Tyrann Mathieu. If we get 5 or 6 picks between 2nd and 4th round we can gamble on these 2 in the third and pick up two possibly amazing players whilst also getting our most important needs met.
Then still have the option trading and looking toward the 2014 draft.
I wouldn't be surprised if we traded Alex Smith for a 2014 pick rather than a 2013 one and get a higher pick.

Lets trade one forward to get a high pick for next year.

Or a center for a mid-level pick next year.
Seriously, the 9ers have some big decisions to make on FAs and we may be in the same boat as last year of waiting to see who is available at a reasonable price. Picked up Goodwin and Rogers that way so it can be a productive way to go.
How many rookies contributed this year? When I look at the draft it seems wise to view them as back ups and players to groom rather than filling immediate needs. Then using veteran FAs to fill the gaps. If Baalke thinks there are not many decent free agents to be had they may use all the picks and hope to get a few gems in the rough.
My preference is always to move down if equal value is available lower (WR or S this year?), or up if there is a game changer within reach (Rice as an example). Packaging picks along with Alex Smith could really benefit us this year.

That said, we need a REAL rotation for the DLine. It's no secret that the D perfromance slipped when Justin went out n the Pats game. BUT there were signs of fatigue before that. We can't have a rotation unless we have players to rotate. IMO drop kick Tuk & Dobbs and draft a NT, DE that can contribute effectively from day One.
Pick up a quality DE in Free Agency or draft another DE. We need 2 DE to develop. One to eventually replace Justin and the other to effectively rotate.
Draft a cover corner.
Draft a BIG, fast WR. No more little guys - we've got that base covered. We need a BIG WR who can stretch the field and be a red zone target.
Draft a Safety - Whittner look slow.
Absolutly.
Corner and Saftey is a must. We can't have to SS that play in the box that can't play over the top.
Jenkins, Kyle Williams.....only little guys we need
A young version of Randy Moss would be nice
We're not gunna sign both Sop and Jean Fran....trade up to a NT would be nice....
Why draft 14 guys and end up cutting half of them.....Trade up and bring in 10 we will actually keep

D-tackle, D-end, Strong safety that is quick and has good make up speed. Also an elite receiver.
