I don't know if he'll be there at #32 but he's a guy I would be very interested in.

He played inside all day and just not sure how well he would transition to a 3-4 DE. He certainly looked great today

He's played on the outside in Purdue's 3-4 packages. He does quite well in my opinion.

Would still prefer Floyd or Jones for DE.

He's a 4-3 DT at the next level. I'm sure he could probably play 3-4 DE, but would it be ideal? Not really.

Floyd and Short are bear the same size, yet Short is a better pass rusher by far. Everyone wants another Justin or JJ Watt, but you have to be able to pass rush to become like one of them. Kawann is quite similar to Corey Liuget of the Chargers. And it's worked out well for them. Plus as much as we are in Nickel, Short adds more versatility because he can play both DE in a 34 or DT in nickel and there'd be no drop off.Originally posted by Phoenix49ers:He's a 4-3 DT at the next level. Guess it's just me, but I prefer Short if we are looking to utilize him as that 1-gap penetrating NT for our scheme. Just looks like the best fit for his skills at the next level.
