He played inside all day and just not sure how well he would transition to a 3-4 DE. He certainly looked great today

He's played on the outside in Purdue's 3-4 packages. He does quite well in my opinion.
Floyd and Short are bear the same size, yet Short is a better pass rusher by far. Everyone wants another Justin or JJ Watt, but you have to be able to pass rush to become like one of them. Kawann is quite similar to Corey Liuget of the Chargers. And it's worked out well for them. Plus as much as we are in Nickel, Short adds more versatility because he can play both DE in a 34 or DT in nickel and there'd be no drop off.Originally posted by Phoenix49ers:He's a 4-3 DT at the next level.
