My first attempt at a mock draft... Trade Alex Smith to the Jets for a fourth #111 and a 4th in 2014. Trade #32, #111(jets),#152(colts), and both 7th rounders to Cinn for #23 #23 Sheldon Richardson DL, Missouri I have never seen one player on a team be in on every single tackle, this guy is amazing. Whether its behind the line of scrimmage or running guys down from behind, teams will have to account for him every play. He compares favorable to Warren Sapp without the laziness. We will have to move up for him as his combine numbers should be through the roof. Simply a must have. A guy that plays in our four man fronts from the start and can eventually take over for J. Smith. Trade #64 and our third in 2014 for #Pittsburgh for #50 #50 Tavon Austin WR, RB, KR WVU The most explosive player in football. I'm talking college and pro. He could literally get 300+ all purpose yards every game. He is not an every down back or even a running back, he is Percy Harvin 2.0 His speed is crazy and his moves will break ankles. Easy replacement and huge huge upgrade for Ted Ginn. I want this kid on our team. He is one guy that no team will want to play against. Chris Johnson's forty time is in trouble. #70 Kyle Fuller CB Virginia Tech Theres a reason why the niners scouts were at 6+ games of VT this year. And thankfully it's not because of Logan Thomas. I wanted to grab another defensive front seven player here, but Fuller is a very good cover corner, with great body positioning skills, and nice speed. Either Tarrel Brown FA or Rodgers $ Contract are probably gone with the other one staying. In this league you need three good corners and Fuller is very good. Trade #96 to Indy for a 2nd in 2014. #97(comp Adam Snyder) Kyle Long OT Oregon I hate to be the one to say it but Joe Staley has been the weak link on the line. We also have no depth for either tackle. Long is older as he played baseball for four years, but he also is Howie Long's other son, Yeah. Has a mean streak and the size to be very good as his experience is limited, but he could be dominant. #128 Tyrann Mathieu (Honey Badger) S, LSU Yeah he has some deep off the field issues, but in the end he can play ball. He is a big time hitter and playmaker. He can be a special teams asset his first year and take over for either Whitner or Goldson in 2014 or 2015. #160 Dustin Hopkins With our kicking game being atrocious this year. It's time to cut some costs and add another player who can contribute early on to our team. He has a huge leg, and with the recent success of some of the rookie kickers this year, we should draft him earlier to make sure we get him. Another huge upgrade to our special teams. #173 Marcus Lattimore RB South Carolina Why not? Yeah the kid may not be the same or even close to it, but let's be real sixth and seventh round selections are going to have a hard time making this team anyways. Put him on IR for the year and see what you got in 2014? If he is only half as good as he was, he could still play We've lost alot of games this year due to our special teams play. It was very poor compared to the year before. Well the problem with our last draft was none of the guys we drafted besides LMJ provided any significant special teams value. These players will allow us to have the best special teams in the league, provide much needed depth and allow us to cut or release some overpriced vets. Ginn, Soap, Akers, K Williams are the first to come to mind. We have filled many holes with this draft and even added an extra 2nd and 4th in the 2014 draft. Alot of things will change from now until draft day, but I like the players at there spots and expect us to move up in the first two rounds. This will be version 1 of five. Tyrann isn't a S. He played CB and NB. I would trade your #70 for Bacarri Rambo. Hes a true deep zone Safety with a ball hawk menetality. Very rarely was he beat this year and he makes QBs pay for bad throws. He hits with a purpose. We put the franchise tag on goldson

for a season and he decides.whether he want to take a cut. We still pick Tyrann tho.I worry he to short for a true cover corner and he was beat a couple of times his 2011 season but this guy has a special.quality to make plays. Sharpen the edges and see what happens.

I really hope we get sheldon. He's the guy we need to transition out of the Justin Smith domination.

I would b vey pleased if the draft went this way.

Trade 5 picks to move up roughly 5 spots in the first round

AND

Think the Niners will get 2 picks in return for Alex Smith

I think Richardson will be gone before #23. Most mocks have him going to New Orleans and that wouldn't surprise me at all.....or even sooner than that.

Lattimore, injury or not, will not fall that far in the draft, he's got tremendous ability and somebody will take a shot on getting a top 1st round talent, a franchise back with a 4th or 5th round pick.

This is a really good mock draft but what about a TE that can possibly replace Delanie Walker if he leaves during free agency? I'm a UCLA fan and would really love to see Joseph Fauria in San Francisco next year as a Niner. He's a big body TE at 6'8" 255lbs and can also be used as a wide receiver too in certain situations and his pass catching is on point too. He's just not the best of blockers. This mock is good especially if Fauria was added to it.

Yea thats the pick alot of mocks are making. I would be fine with that. I want someone like Jesse Williams or Kawann Short if we cant dion Jordan.

Both are likely to be gone as well. Smith as a cap casualty and Ellis because...well he just sucks. New Orleans is also salary cap screwed....have you looked at their situation for next year? They're going to be roughly about 15-20 mil over....and that's before they re-sign any single one of their own free upcoming free agents. Just plain brutal. Of course when you have Brees earning 17-18 mil a year.....stuff like that is bound to happen.

Jordan is likely to be gone in the Top 20. Short is a fringe late 1st/early 2nd, and Jesse Williams is probably anywhere from mid-1st round to mid 2nd round. Of course bowl games and the Combine can change things a bit, but usually you've got a relatively good idea of who the Top 20 guys are.

Nice draft, I think that Alex will bring a 4 or 5 no more though. Sheldon Richardson is a beast, he's a dream pick. I like Cairo Santos as a kicker.

Idk the combine is going to be huge but I alot of mocks I have seen have Short top 15 and at least 5 other d linemen picke ahead of Jordan. I think that people are ranking this crop so highly they're completely denying a teams needs. In short I think it possible dion jordan and jesse willtams both fall to us. I really want that elite olb/de pass rusher this draft so we can bring this pass rush to the next level. I wouldnt mind trading up for a guy like bjorn werner, ezekeil angel, or dion jordan.

I was scared to open this thread, but great job.... A draft close to that would provide hella depth to the niners.... The Tavon Austin kid is definitely a beast, however he may be to small for the NFL... He's like 160 lbs wet haha
