ROUND 1
Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
Height: 6-4. Weight: 200.
40 Time: 4.42.
2012 stats: 73-1083-9
Reminds me alot of A.J Green. We need a reciever like this. Someone who can learn from Randy Moss. We have too many small quick recievers or 1st down recievers. This guy should be there with our pick and we should roll the dice.
ROUND 2
Will Sutton, DT/DE, Arizona State
Height: 6-2. Weight: 271.
40 Time: 4.95.
2012 stats: 59 tackles,10.5 sacks
Sutton had a breakout year this year at ASU. Projected 2-3 round, but he will rise once to combine comes.
3RD ROUND
Trade up into the end of the 2nd using 2 of our 3 3rd round picks
Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
Height: 6-0. Weight: 190.
40 Time: 4.45.
2012 stats: 7 Interceptions, 45 tackles, 1 sack
Very stingy and quick CB. I didnt go Safety here simply because i feel like Goldson will sign long-term, why shouldn't he? Poyer can come in, sit a year and learn from the best.
3RD ROUND
Johnathan Franklin, RB, UCLA
Height: 5-10. Weight: 205.
40 Time: 4.58.
2012 stats: 268-1700-13--(32-319-2 -recieving)
To me, our back of the future. Gore's career is coming to an end. Hunter just tore his acl so who knows if he will recover completely. James is a solid change of pace pack and what looks like a return specialist. Dixon will be cut or put on special teams, he's gritty. Love Franklin.
4TH ROUND
Alvin Bailey, OT/G, Arkansas
Height: 6-5. Weight: 319.
40 Time: 5.36.
Some depth here in the 4th. Big body. Will prvide great depth and who knows, might push for a starting spot in the years to come.
4TH ROUND
Use both 5ths to trade up into the 4th
Kwame Geathers*, DT, Georgia
Height: 6-6. Weight: 350.
40 Time: 5.55.
2012 stats: 1 sack, 39 tackles
Geathers is MASSIVE! I just simply dont see Sopoaga being around much longer. This guy is huge and if taught correctly, could be a steal.
5TH ROUND
Use our 2 6th round picks to move up in late 5th
Tank Carradine, DE, Florida State
Height: 6-5. Weight: 265.
40 Time: 4.75.
2012 stats: 11 sacks, 80 tackles
Carradine had 1st round potential until he torn is mcl this past season. Still had a ridiculous season. His upside is crazy. SHOULD be here, simply because of his injury.
7TH ROUND
Michael Williams, TE, Alabama
Height: 6-6. Weight: 270.
40 Time: 4.77.
2012 stats: 21-166-3
No more trading up, did enough of that before. Williams is known for his blocking. His stats won't "wow" you, but he's huge and just wasn't used in the offense enough this past season. Doesn't mean he can't be great.
7TH ROUND:
Dustin Hopkins, K, Florida State
Height: 6-2. Weight: 190.
2012 stats: 22 of 26 made
Drilled a 60 yarder this year
Need a kicker. Akers is struggling, needs to retire his leg. Hopkins is the best kicker in this class and has a LEG.
7TH ROUND:
Brennan Williams, OT, North Carolina
Height: 6-7, Weight: 310.
Simply a gem. He's a beast. You might hear his name more come Combine. He is sure to turn heads. My favorite.
As you can see, i traded up a lot. There really isnt a position we need to draft to come right in and start. These are all depth picks. We all have different opinions about what the Niners will do and when. These are mine and i dont feel like any of these are a reach or somply pipe-dreams. Let me know what you guys think or what guys you would rather have at these picks. I feel like i hit all of our depth-needs.

Carradine is an excellent choice. 1st rd talent but will fall due to injury, place him on the pup list and get him healthy for 2014.

Not often do I have an issue with 7th round picks but Williams is one of the top 10 graded OTs in the draft according to Scouts Inc. -- I just dont see him as a borderline UDFA.
Most mocks currently have him going in round 3 or around there. Everything else is cool though.

If this happened, I would be Happy as can be. Love Hunter, Sutton, the Kicker is great. Carradine would be great too. Love the draft if we could pull it off.

Hunter tore his Achilles Tendon, not his ACL

Would like to see Center addressed somewhere. I just dont like not having a true center in the pipe. Converting a gaurd can work, but it doesnt always. Also if we some how cant keep Goldson in the fold I would look at Saftey in the first and try to get Swope in the third.

Kwame Geathers is one big dude. Can he play? My pick is Cairo Santos, kicker Tulane.

I do like the Carradine pick. They'll be able to guage Hunter's recovery from injury before the draft - he may be gone.
Do you really see Franklin being there at the bottom of the 3rd round? He'd be a great pick-up, but would make for problems juggling their roster, especially if Hunter makes a full recovery from the achilles rupture (a bad injury). Dixon fills a special teams role, which Franklin probably couldn't. I'm conflicted here because I really do like Franklin as a possible Gore replacement down the road.
I like that TE (a position we REALLY need to upgrade) from UCLA as a pass catching prospect. Where do you have him rated?
Oh, and the team may need a developmental QB . . . 3rd stringer. Any candidates IYO?

This would be a great draft! The only thing is that I can see a lot of these guys climbing up draft boards after bowl games, workouts, combine, etc.

I don't think Sutton will be around in the late 2nd. If he declares, he's an early 2nd rounder at this point at worst, so unless he really f**ks up, bombs the Combines or stabs someone between now and the draft..............................
