In other news Texas WR Mike Davis is leaving early, UT spokeperson said they werent aware of his decision but I'm sure its for real. Davis is very intriguing as a prospect that I wouldn't mind seeing us pick up for depth.

I don't get whats going on with a lot of these juniors. I wonder if the NFL is giving them bad advice, seems like every single player is told they will be a 3rd round pick or better.

In Davis' case they flip-flopped back and forth between Case McCoy and David Ash all season and maybe Davis was tired of the circus.

Defensive end James Gayle and cornerback Antone Exum each announced they'll be returning to Virginia Tech for their senior seasons. Each had requested a grade from the NFL Advisory Committee.

Big boost for VT with that news. Maybe we'll be able to snatch up Gayle in the 1st or 2nd next year. Exum has promise but it would've been a disaster to come out this year.
