Still can't decide if he's better off as a slimmed down 4-3 DE or a beefed up DT. He seems like the ultimate d-line tweener.

Look at you grinning, lol. I think it's a good move, should be one of the top DL, if not top next year in 2014 draft.

TCU Wide receiver Josh Boyce to leave for NFL draft

Boyce, who enrolled early at TCU in spring 2009, earned his degree in December, but had one more year of NCAA eligibility. NFLDraftScout.com ranks him as the 15th best eligible receiver going into the draft.

Boyce had 66 receptions, TCU's single-season record, for 891 yards and seven touchdowns last season. He was an honorable mention for the All-Big 12 awards.

Boyce leaves TCU as the all-time school leader in touchdown catches (22), second all-time in receiving yards (2,535) and third all-time in receptions (161).

Lol there goes the speculation for us SDN. Sutton really is the ultimate tweener -- but like I said in the DT thread, there is a valid comparison of him in the NFL in OLB Melvin Ingram who played DT/DE/OLB in college but he was clearly leaner then Sutton in college and made the right choice going to OLB.

Sutton's listed weight for next season will be something to keep our eye on.

Damn, I was hoping he wouldn't announce just because he will be tough for me to rank. Very very good player. Could be that mid round sleeper that is one of the most productive recievers (similar to TY Hilton or Chris Givens).

Very good question, and I'm not quite sure. He could kind of be a "jumbo" 4-3 DE or an undersized pass rushing 4-3 DT. I think he would have been a late 1st/2nd rounder if he came out, I think GMs would have a hard time letting him slip because he is such a quick player and the best in college at beating O-Lineman right off the snap. He has that Ray McDonald quickness, remember Ray was so quick starting out he kept getting false starts that were BS calls.

I really thought Padron had a decent future as #2 in the NFL if his career at SMU had stayed on track, cant remember if he was benched, injured, or a combination thereof but he looked like he had some potential back in 2010.

Wow. If he stuck around, he might've worked his way into the 2nd round in 2014, but I'd be shocked if he went any higher than the 5th...and with his big mouth at the combine interviews, he might not get drafted at all.
