My offseason priorities, agenda, and positions to address due to roster concerns

it seems like he would be but what the heck do I know

The guy can be tough but he is definitely a player's coach. They always say he is straight up with them and tells them like it is so you have to think he said something. But the way he deals with the media he is always praising everyone and never says anything bad. Granted I know he doesn't want to get that out in public and to the media but just the way he talks there are times where I am like how can you get positives out of that. Like the Rams game he said we fought tough and he was proud of them. Even with Kaepernick in there there was no reason to lose to the rams. I know they are much better than last year and much better coached but still no reason at home. When asked if we came out flat he wouldn't say that either. It makes you wonder if in the locker room he would confront the guys or if they just ignore it and say we have to do so and so better the next half. I don't think there is any yelling like the Singletary locker room and I know we have a good group of guys and they want to win but maybe once in awhile a little yelling wouldn't hurt them. They definitely seemed sluggish and sleepwalking to start the game and then at various times during the game.
FS - Jarius Byrd would be the best free agent replacement at safety I wanted to add.
In retrospect it appears your assessment of our dline was spot on along with your stance on Brooks. Question is who can we target to become the next Justin Smith
Sheldon richardson
I don't feel high priced FA are in our future. We tend to bargin shop - so if we go the FA route; we won't be picking up a major player at any position unless they will work for cheap to get a ring.

Going into last season's draft te prevelant thinking was our DLine was holding up very well, and would not be a priority as WR was a priority.

In the upcoming draft, DLine is a necessity! Justin will be coming off of surgury and a year older. Let's get real - w/out a healthy Justin on the DLine we aren't nearly as good.. Think Aldon zero sacks since he went out. We MUST have 2 picks that address that need.

More to come after the playoffs.
Brooks, continues to be the most underrated player on our defense.

OLB core will be much better next year with Haralson comming back from the injury.

Plan A, offer Goldson 5 years 37.5 million
Plan B- offer Byrd 5 years 25 million
Plan C- Franchise Goldson for a 20% premium over last years tag
Plan D- burn the first round pick on safety if all of the above fails.

I doubt Haralson comes back unless it's after doing some major restructuring. I like what he brings to the table and if they can get his contract to near 1 million, it would be worth it to have another veteran OLB that is solid in run support. Especially considering we have two young OLBs waiting in the wings (Cam Johnson and Darius Fleming), so it may not be necessary to invest another draft pick into OLB. But even considering all of the above, I just can't see Haralson being brought back.
