Sounds great. Does he have NFL speed?
Looks like it, probably going to hit a very high 4.6 in the 40 00 but he is incredibly athletic for his size. Him, Ertz, and Toilolo from Stanford are all 6-6+ and probably run 4.6s
on his scout report says he runs an unofficial 40 low at 4.6 and high at 4.9
i thought one of the reasons we didnt get fleener was because harbaugh wanted toilolo
i heard from a lot of people that toilolo is a much better overall TE than fleener
toilolo is 6'8 265lbs so he is a bigger target. i havent heard much of him, how is his receiving abilties? i only brought up fauria bc im a big UCLA fan and he has been tearing it up this season but i havent been able to catch a stanford game yet.
both Stanford TEs stats through 3 games
Zach Ertz rec 9 targeted 14 times yards 146 average 16.2 long 43 TD 1
Levine Toilolo rec 7 targeted 11 times yards 119 average 17.0 long 38 TD 1
This is just going off the play-by-play on ESPN so some of these could have been throw aways but they seem pretty reliable.
pretty good stats
i just foud fauria's stats for the first 3 games
9 rec, 122 yds, 3 TDs
all 3 of them are pretty similar other than TDs

Fauria was targeted 13 times, again just going off of ESPN play by play.

Really, really want this guy. I go to UCLA and think he'd be a steal in the mid rounds. He's made some ridiculous catches this year just because he's tall enough to catch anything.

I'm sitting here watching that Stanford/UCLA game right now. Looks like a very nice receiving TE... looks so.. thin though. Doesn't look like he's 255 lbs. I really like Eifert and Ertz... but it would be nice to not try and spend a 1st or 2nd rounder on a TE. We do have that early 3rd rounder from that Carolina trade... may be wise to see if a good TE (like Fauria or Toilolo) slips to that pick.

Yeah, if Walker is gone that extra 3rd might be a great spot to pick up the best TE available. Would be nice to have those 1st round guys but too many other needs ahead of it. Hard to justify a 1st on a #2 TE especially when VD is our #1. Still, would love to have a good blocker who can be a pass threat and get 1st downs and TDs. Walker is a good player but he is dropping too many balls and only has 6 tds in 7 years. Would love to have him take a discount and stay as the #3 blocking TE but doubt he would do that.

Keep an eye on Stoneburner here at Ohio State. Serious mismatch problem for LB's at the next level. Not used properly in college. Going to be a combine stud. Very good athlete.

Ryan Griffin (6-5, 248) from UConn is another big, play making tight end that will probably be available in the later rounds.

He's a very tall guy who has very good hands. He's polished and well schooled on fundamentals. But in now way does he look fast or super athletic to me. It would surprise me if he runs well at the combine.
