Day 2-Draft General Discussion

The 49ers will now pick 97th and 125th in the 4th round, in addition to their 5th(#165), 6th(#199) and 7th(#237) round picks.

And we now own the Colts 2013 5th and the Bengals 2013 7th, giving us 9 picks in 2013.

The Niners probably figure that no one left on their board has a shot in hell to make the team so they gather more picks for next year and pad the practice squad with the rest of this years picks.

You don't waste picks to pad a practice squad, you expose those players to getting picked up and no way in hell do you burn 4th round picks. We go high risk/reward guys tomorrow.
what time does draft start tomorrow on the pacific coast
Now that Brandon Thompson has been selected after pick 92, I have completed my third round picks based on my BPA board, without the 3rd round trade.
1. Peter Konz
2. Mohamed Sanu
3. Brandon Thompson

I'd go to war with these guys.

I think the pick may be David Molk, C from Michigan.

Right knee issues at combine and senior bowl. 4 year starter. team captain. Michigan connection. projects to a zone blocking scheme. top notch intangibles.

I base this on Drevno "pounding the table" and the doctor being asked questions by Harbaugh and Baalke in the war room.

We need to trade our 5th, 6th and 7th for another high 4th and spend 3 fourth rounders on good player fits who are locks to make the roster...

These players include:

Bobby Massey
Brandon Boykin
Alameda Taamu
Jared Crick
Miles Burris
Josh Norman

If only we didn't reach in the 1st and 2nd there would be Chris Rainey and Joe Adams available (who I like as much or more than our 1st and 2nd picks).
I'm ok with the move. I would love to see Baalke use one of thos fifth round picks next year to get back up in the 4th round.
Can anyone answer why Massi has fallen from a top 20 prospect out of the 3rd round?
still some good players left. Ta'amu is still left, the Centers like Molk, Blake, Brewster and Jones are still left. OLB Ronnell Lewsi is left, CBs Josh Norman, Brandon Boykin and a guy like S Markelle Martin and George Iloka are left.

I am just curious why the Arkansas Wide Receivers haven't been picked up yet? Too small?
