What do the 9ers need to give up to draft Fleener?

If Fleener get draft by the Brown then we will see how great he is. It's funny that the great TE last year player with great QB that ran really good passing offenses. Im sure Brees and Brady had nothing to do with those 2 TE having such a great year, they would have done the same thing even if they where playing for the JET.

Why would we trade up for a TE when we already have the best TE in the game imo thats not very good value especially theres some pretty darn good TE's we could draft in the 3rd round. I dont know if folks remember but Graham was a 3rd round pick if we address the tight end position it doesnt have to be a 1st round pick. Heck Gronk was a 2nd round pick.
Now we don't know if Fleener will be that good but that's what all the hype is about. I don't know why some people fight this thought so much. I will not cry if we don't get him, but it makes too much sense to not try.

Nothing at all if he is the best available player at that point you take him if not you don't give up anything to move up for a TE when we have other more pressing needs at other positions. I am actually sick of reading about Fleener on here. Just because he went to Stanford is not a good reason to fall in love with a guy I have seen coaches and GMs make the same mistake over and over again about loving someone in the draft just because they had a prior association with them at another team or Organisation.

We didn't throw a lot of passes last year. Vernon Davis was probably left in to block more than %50 of the time as well. Delanie Walker is a threat to block or go out to catch a pass whether he does one more than the other or not. You cannot decipher if we are going to run or pass based on whether or not Walker is on the field.

Wally, I honestly believe JJ was brot in at qb because baalke and coach already have an offer to trade up our #30 for their substantially higher pick, but they wanted Kap also. In fact the whole thing was about Kap.
The other guys are DeCastro and Kalil, both bound to be gone by time we pick and Zeitler who may or may not be around depending on how many QBs are drafted up high. I look for not only tannehill to go early but also one other Qb, hence we may have a shot at Zeitler. If we happen to move up and Kalil and or de castro are there, well that is even better. Then i could see us get our WRs instead of a 1st string TE.

The more I look at the possible picks at #30, and what will still be available in the next 20 or so picks, the more I am inclined to believe that Baalke will package some picks and move up for an impact player on offense, most likely a WR.
This team doesn't have a lot of roster room or need for depth. What is needed is an impact guy. So while I don't expect them to move up past 18 or so, a move to 20-22 seems a likely scenario, even though it may not be Fleener.
