Brandon Jacobs...oops. too late!
Seriously though...
QBs = have enough
Janoris Jenkins ( CB ) = too much baggage
Poe ( DT ) = combine superstar with little production in a Non-BCS conference
Upshaw ( DE/OLB ) = too fat and not enough explosiveness
David Wilson ( RB ) = overrated
Chris Rainey ( RB ) = waaaay too small
Kendal Wright ( WR ) = dont want him in the 1st, too small. Too many WR's available with size when he's being picked.

Ashlon Jeffrey - Poor work ethic, bust potential - Put those 2 things together and it's almost assured that it's not "bust potential" but "bust waiting to happen".
Janoris Jenkins - Baggage - Niners already have this guy on the roster in Parrish Cox
Chris Owusu - Concussions - Just going to be a wasted pick. May have the skills, but will likely never see the field as a pro because he will suffer a concussion prior to the regular season.

Ashlon Jeffery - Great college player, but I don't think he will be able to get it done at the next level. I could be wrong though
Dontari Poe - results at the combine don't match the product on the field. Ideal Oakland raider pick.

Jerkoff Jenkins - I have zero use for criminals
Poe - Quoth the Raven nevermore - workout warriors tend to prove it in combines andnot on te field
Hill - not enough production in college - I know, he's fast Yada, yada BUT still not comfortable with him
Owusu - the NFL is in Buig-Time concussiuon mode and this guy won't last 2 seasons - wasted pick

Not big on a RB early if at all. I just don't see where there is room with Gore, Hunter, Jacobs and Cartwright/Dixon for ST. I think we can split carries with Gore and Hunter. Just maybe more towards 60-40 or 50-50 than the 70-30 it was last year. We might even be able to make it 2 years like that.
Also, if we go guard I hope we trade down from 30 to early-mid 2nd and pick up an extra 3rd out of it.
Not a big fan of Jeffery, Sanu or Randle. Sanu or Randle I would take a chance on at 61 but not at 30. My big concern with Jeffery sure he can lose the weight but if each off season he get bigger and bigger and it takes him longer to get back into game shape that could be a problem.
Not a big fan of going DL earlier than 61... and that might be too early. So no to Poe, Still, Brockers, Worthy, etc
Don't want a FS/SS early either. If we don't plan on signing Goldson the FS class is much better next year. I'm not worried about replacing Whitner for a few years so I'd say anything more than a 3rd safety to develop is unnecessary.
Not really a big fan of taking a CB early. Don't see really any room for one. Not a fan of Dennard, Gilmore, at 30. Maybe a CB in the late rounds.
P.S. Thanks for joining my draft contest jreff. I pm'd AB to see if he would join as well. Thought more people would be interested but still 9 days away.

Normally, I would say no to guys like Jenkins but I think we have the right players and coaches in place to put him on the right path. At least on the field. Not sure you can trust him off the field unless one of the vet leaders would look out for him.
McCloughan was pretty picky with off the field stuff. We really haven't taken to many players like that but the ones we did (Tarell Brown, Brooks, etc) have turned out well.
