One season in this offense under this coaching staff and Fleener will be a blocking machine! Walker, nor Davis could block coming out either. Now look at them. Davis is the best blocking TE in the game so I'm certain that will go a long way toward the noobs development as well.

When I think TE, I don't think...or want...a BLOCKER.
I want a guy who's going to stretch the field and go beat up defenders fighting for a catch, getting in the end zone, putting points on the board. I want a threat in the red zone.
I don't want defenses seeing him on the line and saying, "Here comes a run, he's blocking for Gore"...I want them saying...Oh crap, here comes that big ass massive red zone deep threat pass catching monster of a TE, how the hell are we going to cover him?!?"
they know all they need to know about him

pro days are for coaches to seep layers up close harbaugh coached him at stanford

that being said

i still would perfer wright and floyd over fleener nut would perfer fleener over randle and hill
NFL Network's Mike Mayock expects Stanford TE Coby Fleener to be drafted between picks No. 28 and 40.

"Ability wise, he's a second-rounder," says Mayock, who expects Fleener to be an impact NFL pass catcher. It's in other areas that Fleener struggles, however. "This kid is not a trained killer," said Mayock. "He's not a great blocker."
