fangio would have so much fun with this guy on our team with all the CB blitz packages he can do.
maybe if he is worth it we can package a bunch of picks to trade up

Dont get me wrong, I would like Honey Badger to be a niner but he will go way before we pick next year at #32. (lol dammit someone beat me to it as I was typin)
Nah I think Manthieu was only like a 2 star prospect as a HS player. He surprised a lot of people though. Claiborne has always been looked at as a pure cover corner.
According to his wikipedia page, Tyrann was ranked a 3* by Scout and a 4* by ESPN. And Claiborne was considered a 3*.

Does not fit the Niners profile because of his size. Great player, wrong measurables.

yep 5-9 175 on ESPN page means he could really be 5-8 170. Way to small for us.
Our most compact CB is Tarell Brown at 5'10" 193
Our most lanky CB is Carlos Rogers at 6'0" 192
All of our DBs are no shorter and no lighter then those numbers.
Xavier Rhodes from FSU at 6'2" 215
Desmond Trufant from UW at 6'0" 185
are more viable CB options should they declare.

Niners profile??? We have no idea what "Niners Profile" is. We make guesses every year on who the 49ers are possibly targeting in the draft and we are never right. There is no telling what Baalke and Harbaugh have running through their head. You dont pass up a player like him. Trenton Robinson (the FS from MS we drafted is 5'9). He would make a monster playmaker at FS. I dont know what team the kid goes to but they get a hell of a player.

I am ready to see this kid at the next level and this is coming from a Bama fan. I love his aggressive style on defense and would like to see him against top tier WR's in the big league. I seriously doubt he ends up in Red and Gold but where he ends up the team has a gem.
NO! He is a midget and gets exposed for it. You just don't see it because they only show the good plays the badger makes on ESPN. If you watch the games you see this guy get balls thrown over his head in the SEC. what will the NFL do to him. He won't be worth the late round 1st - early 2nd he'll get taken. I mean he can strip the ball from a college kid yeah... not NFL talent at CB.. he'll be Ginn like.. takes up a roster spot at (given position) to return punts. Peace out..

You do have a point. In general, they like bigger, more physical DB's but Robinson definitely does not fit the profile either. Then again, he supposedly has a very physical style despite his size. Mathieu is a special talent and the Niners may have a need if Cox does not perform well and if Goldson doesn't sign long term.
