Since this year's safety class is less than inspiring, I wouldn't expect the Niners to replace Goldson at this point. They are more likely to franchise him this year and replace him in 2013.
That leaves OL, WR, and CB as the team's biggest needs. IMHO, they will take the best player available at one of those 3 positions.
As much as I would like him on the team, there is no way the Saints let Nicks go... He is an absolute stud...and young too.
Also, I doubt the Niners would invest that much money in an OG to be frank, especially since they have a lot of good players to retain in the next couple of years. I doubt they sign any really high profile FAs actually, unless they think one player could put them over the top.

don't think we need a TE in 2nd round. we have two very good TEs already. rather have a big WR for red zone offense.

EDIT: To shoot your entire mock in the foot, I provide this link of Rambo discussing the feedback from the Draft Advisory Board.....
http://www.macon.com/2011/12/29/1842585/rambo-discusses-feedback-from.html
Bacarri Rambo continues to call himself "50-50" on whether to leave for the NFL draft. But the evaluation from the league's advisory board provided a window into the thinking for the Georgia junior safety.
Rambo said he received a third-round grade from the NFL board, which advises underclassmen before they make their decision on whether to leave or stay.
The grade clearly disappointed Rambo, who was named a first-team All-American by the AP.
EDIT 2: The complete lack of address on the CB position makes almost no sense. Unless you're assuming we keep Curtis Holcomb and/or Cory Nelms on our final 53 next year but seeing how you didn't include that I am inclined to think you weren't going with that thought.
What is wrong with Rogers, Brown, Culliver and Brock at CB? How many CB's do we need?
If Rogers leaves then we will address the CB position but if he comes back, it is the last position we need to fill. Brown and Rogers are one of the best duo's in the league and Culliver has loads of potential.
We'd need 5 or maybe even 6 with only 5 being active on gameday.
On the bulk of our plays we had 3 CBs on the field, there is no way we could carry just 4 CBs through a season. If 1 got hurt we would have to sign a FA or elevate a PS player just to make sure we could rotate the players.

Thanks for this. I think he goes before the 3rd and is arguably the best safety available in the draft but I dont think he comes out now.
You're welcome and you are right he will go before the 3rd if he declares but only because the safety position is so weak in the draft. A desperate team would take him in the middle to end of the 2nd but I bet he wouldn't really move much in the end.

Good point about franchising Goldson but we might have to choose between him and Rogers as the guy to franchise. I would choose Rogers.
The Saints have Jahari Evans as the highest paid guard in the league. Drew Brees, Marques Colston, Robert Meachem, Tracy Porter and Carl Nicks are all UFA's for the Saints this year. Plus Jimmy Graham is going to get a huge contract here soon. There is no way they can have the two highest paid guards in the league and there is no way they can keep all those guys.
I dont think we sign as many FA's as we did last year either and I doubt we invest that much money in Nicks. It was just a thought.
I would rather us re-sign all our own players and bring in young stud players through the draft. You are right though about the needs though.
CB- If Rogers leaves
FS- If Goldson leaves
OLB- If Brooks leaves
OG- If Snyder leaves
Alex Smith and Josh Morgan will be back but alot of what we do in the draft will depend on who we re-sign. WR is a need regardless though.

Walker is more of a HB type player. With the success with how teams are using two TE sets in the league and if a stud Stanford player is available in round 2, it would not surprise me one bit if we took Fleener.
Harbaugh loves to utilize the TE's.

Then that doesnt include the extensions.
Now Alex will NOT get a 9M a yr contract.
Rogers would be over 10M
No use for Reggie Smith.
Grant is a RFA and can be retained for 1.25M, same with Spillman.
I actually like most of the signings, only want Rogers on long term deal, and Goldson on Franchise tag.
i dont know about rest
but harbaugh and niners said alex contract will be 8-11 mill a year
I will scream if that happens, im sorry Alex hasn't proven he is a 11M a yr QB.

Have not read the 11m at all. Almost all the comments have been in the 4-6 range but who knows how accurate these sources are. If the 9ers win the super bowl with Smith playing very well he may be much more expensive.
Edit: No coach would regret a chance at a super bowl, but I would not blame Harbaugh for being surprised the 9ers played so well so soon given their talent level and time to absorb the system. Funny how things work out.

8 to 11 mil for 2-3 years
I think he will evolve into an elite top 5 qb in that time

8-11 m per year or for 2-3 years? Your earlier post indicated up to 11 m per year.

Not my money so I don't really care. The only time I would be upset is if they could not sign other necessary players to keep building.

No CB's = bad draft unless you think the Niners will sign another CB in free agency while also retaining Rogers.

If Rambo declared he would most likely be available in the 2nd-3rd round.
