Jeffery was the #1 WR to be drafted before the Gamecocks offense got jacked up by injuries, NCAA investigation, and his QBs really sucking ass. Now hes definately going to be the top WR in this class. I want but unless we trade up for him theres no damn chance we get him at 30. We might have to settle for Hill, Fleener or Wright, Glenn, or Gilmore

If Alshon was a 4.6 guy I would still take him over Hill. I don't understand how anyone can watch Alshon play and still doubt him. f**k the 40 yard dash time...Alshon Jeffery get's it done when it really counts.
yep that hail mary in the bowl game kind of sealed it for me. If he was that athletic, agile and soft handed at 230+ then holy s*** do I want him at 213 and 4.35 lol.
Good point hahahaha!!

Hill is a project compared to Jeffery. There is no debate as Jeffery is just the better prospect in every way. You could only use Floyd or Blackmon for any player debate to compare with Jeffery imo

Despite Jeffery's performance at his pro day, I still don't think Wright or Floyd falls to us. However, Jeffery, Hill, and Fleener could still be available when we select.

well before his pro day he was considered a top 45 pick so I know you can just say instantly "he is a top 15 pick" but I am more confident that he'll be there at 30 now.

I was thinking the same thing. Plus, there may be more fringe 1st/2nd players moving into the late twenties pushing more WR talent to us. Needs at OLB and DT and CB by the teams drafting before us, could pave the way for someone real good for us at #30. Those three are who I see at #30. One of them will be there for sure, IMO.
Exciting times!

It's very exciting because we don't know where these players will be falling. Fletcher Cox rising, Chandler Jones rising, Poe rising, Gilmore rising. All of this pushes more talent down to us.

Still waiting for official times for Jeffery, and how much time should be adjusted to his forty time. Curious to also hear about the other timed marks (cone, shuttle, and more).

some #s are out.
Jeffery participated in the Gamecocks' Pro Day on Wednesday, however, and may have helped his draft stock. Scouts on hand timed his forty-yard dash in the high-4.4 to low-4.5 range, according to Kevin Weidl of ESPN Scouts Inc. SI.com's Tony Pauline had Jeffery at 4.55 on his first run. Jeffery also weighed in at 213, down three pounds from his Combine weigh-in.
He's clearly prioritized losing weight during the offseason.
Per the Gamecocks' sports website, Jeffery registered a 10-foot, 2-inch broad jump and 36.5-inch vertical leap. They're both solid if unspectacular measurements for a 6-foot-3, 213-pound receiver.

why are some people on this board saying he ran a sub 4.4?
Sounds like he ran between a mid 4.4 to low 4.5 which is at what I expected. If he ran at the combine he probably would have had a mid to high 4.5 time.

The guy that started the sub 4.4 rumor was apparently Kevin Weidl with his tweets, he later retracted the 4.38 40 time and said the 2nd attempt was a 4.47.
I think Weidl was full fo s**t on that sub 4.4 time.

Not arguing, heck I have been a pro-AJ fan for a while, but there was also talk of him being a lazy or unmotivated player. Still, I see him being in the top 20 for sure now.
