And even if the front office wanted it to happen, it still wouldn't happen. The repercussions for attempting such a move would eventually destroy the franchise. To suggest such a move is both foolish, asinine, and completely idiotic. Yes, if you think the 49ers are going to "suck for luck" you're a complete moron who will probably spend the rest of your life flipping burgers or handling my dry cleaning. Go ahead and make my combo meal a large and let me get some extra packets of ketchup.

This. X 100.
We might be terrible this year but that's because of previous poor drafting and a head coach who never won anywhere except college. But we won't try and tank the season.
This thread just won't die.

we are actually going to tank this season for Ryan Tannehill

Cause the Yorks would totally justify dropping $100m in payroll this year to take a chance on a college QB...not to mention the players playing for contracts this year, the ones risking career ending injuries, the fans paying money to watch a team throw games... do the suck for luck people even think before they speak or is the concept of forming complete sentances still new to them.

I still cant believe this notion has gotten the media attention it has, from ruhtarded fans I understand, but to see serious articles on yahoo and other sports sites immediately takes them down a notch as reputable.

I'm curious how well he'll perform without Harbaugh. I feel like he'll regress.

49ers' fans STILL envision a scenario where this happens. Andrew Luck is the odds on favorite to be the #1 pick. Even if the 49ers suck, it will be a 6-10 suck, not a 1-15 catastrophe. Any team that needs a QB, won't pass on him/them. It isn't happening. Stop talking about Luck, fantasing about Luck, photoshopping him in a Niners jersey. Just stop. STOP that.
People were furious that I actively rooted against the Niners last season until they fired Singletary. It is hard to argue against the logic of tanking this meaningless year to get a player who could possibly fit a bunch more rings on the other hand. As Singletary was that bad, Luck is that good.

Kerry Collins isn't that bad. Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark they have talent to win 5 games without Peyton. Besides once you draft the replacement you officially put the clock on Manning and I don't think they're ready to do that. He just signed a 5 year 90 million dollar deal. This is his 1st time missing any action due to injury.

If they have the 1st pick they could package that pick for the moon. It's no guarantee they take Luck.
