Neither of them are truly worth the #45 pick much less something higher.
Before the draft even started someone predicted that QB value would become grossly inflated by the end of round one. I don't recall who said that but they have been proven a prophet.
I recall back before the combine even started that several true draft experts were saying that they did not feel any of this year's group of QBs were worth a top 10 pick and no more than 3-4 max would go in the first round. Now look what we have. Does anyone really think those guys got better by NOT playing a single game?

4th, 5th, and 6th? Yeah, I'd give those picks up for Dalton. He's suited for the WCO, so I'm hoping we get him.

Denvers got 2 QB's, so they probably wont take one. We can get 1 of the top QB's left if we stay put. I'd only trade up if there's a run, but since we're leaning vet in FA for a QB, we can just get what's left in the draft at QB when we pick. Mallet may still be there, and guys like Mc. Elroy, Devlin will probably be there tomorrow.

Really work the FA'y for other needs also. CB comes obviously to mind. There is one, probably very expensive, option out there.
Dalton? . . . No.
As English says . . . the Patriots don't do this deal.
It doesn't have to be NE. Maybe another team ahead of us. As long as we retain our 3rd for a CB, I think I would consider it.

For next year's first? No.
The Niners will be picking high next year. No QB this year tends to do that.
