If Patrick Peterson, Von Miller, Blaine Gabbert, Marcell Dareus, Da'Quan Bowers, are all gone and the 49ers are looking to trade down; who do we trade with and who do they target?
I can only think of 3 players that teams might be willing to trade up for:
Cam Newton
AJ Green
Robert Quinn
I think we would have a lot of suitors for Cam, but who?
Would the Texan's be willing to trade up a few spots for Robert Quinn? Would Miami be willing to trade up for Cam to jump past the Vikings?
I personally think if Quinn is there when we are picking we take him.
I look forward to reading other trade scenarios.

I think you answered your own question, you draft quinn, the niners have not had a stud pass rusher since Haley left years ago.

Well, I am interested in other trade scenarios.
The only 2 players I really want to draft that I wouldn't trade down is Patrick Peterson and Von Miller.

If there were an opportunity to trade down and get both Prince Akamanura and Christian Ponder, that would be a grand slam in my opinion. Prince isn't that far away from Peterson and Ponder already knows how to run a pro-style offense. But, I think something like that is too wild to hope for.

its not possible no team in this draft has 2 first round picks where we can land prince and ponder by same trade down
u can trade down and try to trade back up in first round to get ponder but thats it

I guess what I was thinking was a high second round position that Ponder might slip into, but it looks like there is so much increasing interest in Ponder that he may not even last until the end of the first, so you're right. Just wishful, magical thinking.

You don't trade down from this spot. If you are all but guaranteed to get an elite defensive player in this spot, you stick.

no guarantees in nfl draft---redskins might trade up to niners spot if gabbert or newton are still on board, to jump ahead of the titans..also if they feel a need to do so to take julio jones if the qbs are gone

Baalke is running the draft, but if JH tells him this is the QB, he will draft the QB for JH. That said if the niners and Baalke really like a player they are going to take him and not trade back. If they think there are others just as good that they can get then maybe they will trade back. Example-how do they feel about Prince, Kerrigan and Quinn if Peterson and Von Miller are gone and Dareus or Bowers is also gone. The Cardinals and Dallas are two of the biggest obstacles to the 49ers getting a player they want or moving in the draft position.
One thing I will say is that this draft excites thrills and scares me as anything can happen. Almost like the NCAA men's basketball final four. Imagine if you put a grand down on VCU just to make it to the final four 1370 to one odds on that alone. As they say $hit happens, I just hope for us it is all lucky dog poo...better lucky than good.

We don't need to trade down, we need to be able to trade up in the other rounds to grab talent we like. Right now we need:
2QBs
1RB
1FB
1WR
1NT
2OLBs
2CBs
That's ten total needs. Some may argue that we could use another DE and S, but the ones listed above are the necesities for the season. We have twelve picks and once FA opens we will fill a few of those needs (Probably a vet QB, CB depth, an OLB and maybe a NT) We need to parlay our picks into quality over quantity!

If Quinn, Peterson, Miller, and Dareus are gone I wouldn't mind trading down and getting an extra pick to get Christian Ponder before our 45th pick.
I'd trade our 7th and 45th pick for NE's two 1st rounders. Here would be my ideal scnerio
NE trades up to get AJ Green/Julio Jones. We get
17. CB/DE - Prince Amukmara/Jimmy Smith/Cam Jordan
28. Christan Ponder
45. CB/DE (whichever we didn't get at #17) Marvin Austin/ Curtis Brown/ Ras I Dawling
Another scenerio would be Chicago trading up to get a WR. They could give us their 1st rounder and next years first rounder. It wouldn't help us this year but could give us wiggle room to get Andrew Luck next year.

To ANSWER YOUR QUESTION and not get on a soap box about it like too many people here seem to do - IF we were to trade down; the Vikings need a QB big time and the Patriots always seem willing to trade. As far as the Patriots go, very hard to tell what they think BUT they seem to come out of every draft w/ some very good picks.
IF we were going to trade down we better get a lot for it.

New England is the perfect trade partner. Their picking late 1st and early 2nd. That'd be the perfect spot to grab one of the 2nd tier QB's.

this!
I wouldn't be mad if we trade out of 7. But I don't see the Pats trading up that high. They like to stockpile draft picks. So our best bet is trading up with them.
