mikel leshoure at ilinois, is 6-0 230, and can catch the ball, so he would be a good fit in wco--nice player

In 2011, Gore is going to replace a lot of these opinions on his replacement.

Gore is gonna start to slow down, actually he already has and it will only get worse after this hip injury. Its time to draft another RB and let him split carries with Gore.

I'm confused how so many people are talking about a possible future replacement for gore and Blah Blah....anyone that saw Anthony Dixon play last year would know that he will be more than capable in the next few years to replace Gore. His blocking got better, hands improved, and he stopped dancing around as much as he did in the pre-season. As far as Gore slowing down....he was never a speedster, but he definitely proved last year during the Raider Pre-season game, and again against them in the regular season, that he still has a burst. Yes he got caught by Huff....but Frank never claimed to have 4.4 speed. It's embarrassing as a die hard fan sometimes to read so much BS written about players that have dedicated their life to our team....smh....ridiculous

I dont get the replace/trade Gore people on this site saying hes getting up there in age. Yes he is getting older, but he is still one of the better RB's in the league. No he doesnt put the fancy numbers up like Chris Johnson, but there isnt many backs in the league I would rather have. Plus I notice all the people wont want to dump Gore because hes almost 30 want to keep Westbrook? Dont get that one

We can draft someone in the later rounds and see if they turn out to be anything. I hope this team takes the approach to ride Gore as long as possible then move to a backfield by committee of mid-late round guys. Draft a late round running back each year and put them on a short leash. Prove yourself, or you're going to be replaced by a late round guy in the next draft. Running back is no longer a valuable position, I'd hate to see the team spend anything above a third rounder on a running back in the future.

Meh, I'd never waste a high pick on a RB. That position is marginalized in today's NFL. When's the last time a team won a SB with a stud RB? Baltimore, but everyone knows the D was the team. Terrel Davis is the last RB who was the reason his team won it all, that's been a while. Hell none of this year's pro bowlers even made the playoffs. Gore, as great as he is, can be replaced by a committee, like every other successful team has.
