The D-Line for a 3-4 system is one of the hardest things in the NFL to solidify. With Smith starting to get up in age, an aging and unhappy Franklin at NT, and a platoon serving adequately at the other DE position, it might be a good idea to take advantage of this stellar class.
Not to mention Fangio's 3-4 tends to be more hybrid than pure 3-4, so we might see a lot more 4 DL fronts.
Who wants to draft Cameron Jordan?
The guy was unblockable during the senior bowl and has a ton of moves already for a lineman. Imagine a force like Justin Smith on one side and Cameron Jordan on the other. If we could get consistent pressure on the QB with a 3 man front, that would open up a lot of other possibilities on defense. Not to mention, the DL in a 3-4 is suppose to take on blockers in order to free up the LB's to get to the QB, so it would help the LB core also.
Further, DE's in the 3-4 have less bust potential then other positions and take a while to develop, so it might be good to start now.
The Chiefs took Tyson Jackson at #3 a couple of years ago because they knew how valuable the position is and how hard it is to find good ones.
Also, did I mention, the guy is a BEAST and might be too good of a talent and value to pass up.
I know many on here are caught up in the Von Miller or Prince hype, but I know there are a few that like Cameron. Let's draft him.

Rising fast after his EPIC Senior Bowl practice. Projected TOP 10 now.

I would not be mad if we drafted him as long as Patrick Peterson wasn't on the board.

If Miller is off the board then I could dig it.

Why not?
DE and NT are two of the most important positions on the entire defense for a 3-4. It's much harder to find studs at those positions than for CB or OLB.
Why do you think the Chief's reached with the #5 pick 2 years ago with Tyson Jackson and last year the Jaguars reached with the #10 pick with Tyson Alu Alu? What is different between those two picks and Cameron Jordan is that Cameron Jordan is projected to be that high and is worth that pick.

Well seeing you wrote the thread I assume you're all aboard the bandwagon. If were taking an end at 7 it better be Marcel Dareus. I'm not saying Jordan wont be good but not at 7.
Not to mention our ends are solid.
Also you mentioned Tyson Jackson. That didn't quite pan out did it?

Yeah. You don't hear much about him because DE's tend not to be a glamorous position. That is why Albert Hanesworth wanted out of Washington.

Unlike Dareus, who has been known to give up on plays, Jordan has a non-stop motor.
Yes, I am on the "bandwagon", I just didn't want to put it in the title because it has become a cliche by now.

He wasn't nearly worthy of the #3 pick. I'm sorry but if you think he is thats awful.
Hes a okay player.
