Yeah, Harbaugh could turn Stanzi into a stud. Another interesting point about Harbaugh is that his bro (John) comes to him for all of his QB advice (including how to handle Flacco sometimes); Jim even advised John to put Flacco atop of his draft board.

that's interesting. I guess big brother's on his own now.
? Would Kile Orton make a decent WCO QB...? and for a 2/3 rd trade....?

No he wouldn't and unless the Vike's tell McDaniels to suck it he will lobby hard for Orton in Minnesota.

McDaniels has no loyalty to Orton. Tebow is his man crush. That's definitely the guy he'd want the team to go after.

Orton isn't going anywhere. He's a Bronco.

Yea but Joe Webb is another athletic qb type -- perfect to fill the Tebow-less void in McDaniels' heart :D
I'm just saying that if McDaniels could convince Wilf to do it they would do their best to pry him away from the broncos. Also the famous "new coaches mean new qbs" saying aptly applies to Denver right now. They have 3 huge trading chips in all 3 of the QBs on their roster right now and I highly doubt that all 3 of them muchless 2 of them will even be in a Denver uniform next year.
Tebow has shown can play(I hate Tebow by the way so that's hard for me to say) and Elway made it clear in his fumbling statements on twitter that he likes Tebow but thinks he still needs more work so don't be surprised if Quinn gets shopped and they musical QB all season with Orton and Tebow or trade away Orton and sign McNabb, another aging athletic QB that way when Tebow takes over they don't have to worry about the transition so much.
Stanzi is somewhat of a poor man's Carson Palmer, really. He can be good, but he can make some very questionable decisions at times for no apparent reason.

I compare him more to Matt Cassel, I think hes much more mobile than Palmer and definitely does not have his arm-strength. But I agree he can make some very questionable decisions. Its nothing that can't be coached though.

I wouldn't really say that's a bad comparison either, however, I think people forget that before Palmer had his horrific knee injury, he would run a lot. And he still runs, though not as fast, but if you look at the number of carries he has, it's around 30+ per year, that's 1.5 to 2 times more than Alex Smith, a mobile QB, tended to run.

I said it in another post that Stanzi is amazingly immobile and in no way interesting due to our suspect, young OL and as a another post says above me he makes questionable decisions and doesn't quite have a big arm.

I still want to know where he heard that from.

LOL Cmon poor mans Carson Palmer is a huge stretch with Stanzi. Maybe Dalton or Gabbert could be but Stanzi is a Ken Dorsey clone. From arm strength to decsion making he the exact same QB lol. The only differences is Dorsey never almost tanked a season or played horrible in his Bowl games. Other than those theyre the same exact player in almost every way.

Like I said you couldn't be more wrong. Stanzi has a much stronger arm than Dorsey does. Much more mobile, can throw on the run, only thing is I'd have to give Dorsey the nod over decision making. Both have good pocket presence and stand tall in the pocket, only thing Stanzi has much better deep ball accuracy. The knock on Dorsey was obviously arm-strength and weight, two things that Stanzi has, well his arm-strength is good enough to make all the necessary throws in the NFL.

This coming from the biggest Ken Dorsey fan on this board or Website.

I've watched Stanzi and he is far from mobile and yea the NCAA factors in sack yardage into QB rushing but when your numbers look like this it is hard to say he is very mobile

Rushing Stats
YEAR TEAM ATT YDS AVG LNG TD FD FUM LOST
2007 IOWA 1 13 13.0 13 0 0 0 0
2008 IOWA 56 20 0.4 20 0 0 0 0
2009 IOWA 55 -31 -0.6 13 0 0 0 0
2010 IOWA 48 -6 -0.1 26 2 0 0 0

And there you have it. I am not a Ken Dorsey fan, but Kolohe and I agree completely. That is a horrendous comparison, my friend. Just completely out of this world wrong. I explained to you other reasons why in an earlier thread... Here's the quote you ignored:

Comparing Stanzi to Dorsey is horrendous. That's a fire and ice comparison there, completely different players, teams, etc. Dorsey was never considered much of a prospect to anyone. There's a reason he fell so far. You do realize Dorsey was throwing to an all-world cast that featured Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, Kellen Winslow and Andre Johnson, right? Not to mention having a guy like Willis McGahee at RB and a defense backed by superstars such as Ed Reed and Jonathan Vilma..
