To those asking where Texans A+M LB Von Miller will go in the NFL draft, the early signs are, Top 5 pick.

We're still quoting Schefter's predictions after what happened earlier this month?

And especially with a guy who watched no college football and probably has the football IQ of a squirrel.

His job is to report the football news, not to analyze the game.

He's probably passing on info from NFL personnel contacts, not analyzing.

That'd be good for us because it'd push Peterson, Dareus, Bowers, or Gabbert to us possibly.

but....but...but MD said he was goin to be a second rounder?

hehe, just playin dude

If Von Miller can put on a little more wieght, not much maybe 5 to 10 more, I would be happy to have this guy on the niners. Looks very explosive off the line and he seems to be able to drop into coverage pretty fluidly from the SB practices.

But from what I've read, this is where he's been having some problems.

Well figuring that he rarely did it during his college career of course he is going to have issues. He just showed the ability to drop very smoothly and showed very good change of direction. Mayock was really impressed saying that he was showing enough to be a 4-3 OLB and not just a rush end or rush LB in a 3-4. So with that being said and the D that fangio likes to run with so much diversity and the glaring need for a solid pass rusher Miller could be the guy for us
Wonder if Harbaugh will go with BPA or need. Pass Rusher and CB are definitely a need. If they also happen to be the BPA, even better.

I thought Baalke calls the shots.

To me its Patrick Peterson - Von Miller - Prince Amukamara in that order if available.

OLB Von Miller would be first imo his position is more valuable to our defense than a CB which they are plenty out there in free agency not to mention we have invested in our backfield terribly.

Yeah all do respect but too me a shut down corner (I know he is not NFL proven yet but a great prospect) is just as important to me than an OLB. LaBoys pass rush last year alone has me sold on himbut imagine Peterson's RedZone matchups which really kill us vs Taller WR's. This is the way I am looking at things though but I got a man crush on both those guys and would be happy either or.
I swear Von Miller is this year's CJ Spiller. People are completely getting caught up in the hype.

I'm not in the group who thinks size is everything but in this case his size makes him one dimensional. Everyone just assumes he can bulk up and suddenly become good at stopping the run and not lose any of his pass rush ability.

I just don't see it. To me when I look at him I see a guy who does one thing very well but the defense will not be very good if he's constantly rushing the passer. IMO you just don't spend a top 10 pick on that type of player.

Trade down and take him in late teens. I could at least live with that.

I'd love for Arizona to draft him. Would make my day. We'd just run at him all game long.

Remember that Schefter was the first one last year to report the Rams would be taking Bradford number 1 overall when everyone else still had Suh as the guy.

He stepped out before the combine and called it and everyone did a MASSIVE double take. Bradford was supposed to go to the Skins at #4 last year, but Schefty did break it down for everyone.

BTW-- Was anyone really right about where Harbaugh was going last month? It was all over the map with EVERY reporter. Schefter is very good at breaking stories and might have gotten caught up with his alma mater (notice the Michigan helmet behind him in almost every ESPN shot) so I will give him a one time pass. BTW-- There have been others saying Miller is a Top 10 guy now too including McShay.

Two words. Dwight Freeney.
