This is an absolute dream draft/offseason.
Carolina will want our pick this year 100%. They wouldn't drop out of the 1st round after having the #1 overall.

I think we should really try to sign Santana Moss.

Agree.
Jonathan Joseph (if we can get him) and Santana Moss would be a great offseason IMO. Even Cromartie.

Cromartie has about 17 kids in 25 states (sadly, thats not exaggerated that much), and seems to have a huge opinion of himself. He also, like DeAngelo Hall, will get alot of picks, but thats only because hes not a great cover corner at all and gets picked on alot. Hed be way more hassle and money than what wed get in return.

im sorry to say it. we arent getting luck. we are to far back i think and carolina is probably to dumb and will take him even though they drafted two qbs last year.

Yeah they took two QBs that suck and have the opportunity to draft one of the best QB prospects to come out in years. I'm sure most people won't consider them "dumb" if they select Luck.

lol this isnt happeneing there is no way we can trade up to the number 1 pick which was offered if we wanted to get it we would have to throw in willis to

love the idea
but the mock is a bit unrealistic, trades wont work that easily.

I don't think Clausen sucks and has got his rookie year out of the way which is what EVERY coach looks forward to. In his rookie year, he played some very tough teams (@NO, CHI, @TB, @CLE, @SEA, ATL, ARZ, @PIT, and @ATL) so he has got some GREAT in game experience and his team is horrible.
Point being, if any of you think they would accept a trade and keep Clausen over drafting Luck (meaning, that is what you are hoping for and expecting them to do), then that means you think THEY think that Clausen can get the job and they can collect more picks
. Now flip that.....Why not us send a 3rd to them and take Clausen, who a lot of you already think they would keep instead of drafting Luck, that way we can get a shutdown corner in the 1st round and add another WR weapon in the second round (Blackmon, Baldwin, Floyd..whichever falls)

That situation, we end up getting an offensive minded HC (hopefully regardless) a shut down corner (Prince/Peterson), another WR threat opposite of Crabtree, a Franchise QB that has already experienced some of the toughest defenses in the NFL in his rookie year and still have about 8 picks left to stock up talent
I think that would be MUCH better than trading away our whole draft to get one guy while leaving other a ton of other holes open. Just food for thought I guess. If that happens, then I go:
1st Round: Prince or Peterson (whoever is there)
2nd Round: Blackmon, Baldwin, Floyd (whoever is there)
3rd Round: Traded for Clausen
4th Round: Brooks Reed
4th Round: Best Available Pass rusher
5th Round: Best Available Guard
rest of picks, BPA

I think it will cost us more this year than our 1st and 3rd to move up to number 1. We very well could be picking 21st or later next year. Carolina will never make this deal.
