Holy moly, Batman! We have a slim chance to pick at #2.

Suck it up, take the loss, hope things pan out and we get the #3 pick. Hire Harbaugh, then get Luck to do an Eli Manning with the Panthers and go from there.

Broncos will not beat SD
Cinci will not beat Baltimore.
1.) It's ok if Denver loses; they won't be picking a QB (which we likely will)
2.) Baltimore is in, and may not play their starters...I like Cincy's chances (they go to 5-10)
3.) Buffalo plays the Jets; NY might not play their starters either (Bills go to 5-10)
Say Denver loses, the Bills and Bengals win and we lose to the Tards:
Draft order:
1.) Carolina - 2-14
--Andrew Luck, QB
2.) Denver - 4-12
--Patrick Peterson, DB OR A.J. Green, WR
3.) 49ers - 5-11 (weakest SOS among 5 win teams)
--A.J. Green, WR, OR Ryan Mallett, QB OR Cameron Newton, QB OR Prince Amukamara, CB
NOTE: To move up to the #1 spot from #3 would only take our #1 overall, our 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder. So if we wanted to trade with CAR, and they were open to passing on Luck (highly doubtful), our draft would look like this:
Round 1 - Andrew Luck, QB
Round 2 - *traded to CAR*
Round 3 - *traded to CAR*
Round 4 - pick
Round 4 - pick (extra pick acquired)
Round 5 - pick
Round 6 - pick
Round 6 - pick (from SEA for Balmer)
Round 7 - pick
Round 7 - pick (from DET for Hill)
So we'd get our QB of the future and still have 7 picks to work with (not even counting comp picks) to help re-stock the roster.
What happens if we beat the Cards, but all the other scenarios you mentioned happen...where would we pick then?

Regarding Denver next week:
Kevin Acee of the San Diegio Union-Tribune expects the Chargers to hold WRs Malcom Floyd (hamstrings) and Patrick Crayton (wrist), and ILB Stephen Cooper (knee) out for Week 17 against Denver.
All three just so happen to be in contract years. Each might've been pushed to play were the game meaningful, but the Bolts lost their way out of the playoff hunt in Week 16 to the Bengals. Floyd will finish his age-29 season with career highs in receiving scores (6) and yards-per-catch average (18.9).

Broncos could be SD after the let down of them missing the playoffs late in the year, yet again, and Balt may be resting players as their position in the playoffs is pretty much determined.........

I would be tickled pink with that draft as posted, as any other pick would be the whip cream on our Luck sunday

Maybe this is unrealistic but are there ever any 3 team trades?
Orton to Carolina
1st round pick to 49ers
49ers send 1st and 2nd to Carolina
49ers send 3rd and Haralson to Denver
it might work on madden

What happens if we beat Arizona but a bunch of the other 5 win teams win too?

I think its hilarious that 3 of the top 10 teams by draft pick could be in our division.

If the draft was ordered by computer rankings, every NFC West team would be drafting in the top 6 or 8. Sagarin has the Rams ranked #27 as the best NFC West team.

Would be awesome if carolina decides to trade for Kolb and trade down with someone and take AJ Green. They get a QB and WR to help out that offense.

Again, I don't want to lose nor am I wishing my team to. I just find it fascinating that we have that possibility. Either way, we are assured a top ten pick win or lose now.
Whew!
We pick fifth right now. Unbelievable.
False, we currently pick at 6 and can pick as low as 11. In fact if we win, it's more likely than not that we pick at 11. I'm rooting for a loss and a pick right around the 5 spot.

To be perfectly honest, Luck could always pull an Eli Manning. I would NEVER want to play in Carolina. To add to it, if he does in fact declare, he could still pursue his goal of a stanford degree. The entire second semester for Stanford is in the offseason and he could always wrap that up in a year or two if he stayed in the Bay Area. If we were to bring in Harbaugh it could be icing on the cake.
I would honestly offer our 2011 1st, 2012 2nd, and Vernon Davis to move up to grab Luck. We need, above all else, to get a young franchise qb in place. Having a Pro Bowl tightend who is hot and cold, runs poor routes, and has a case of the dropsies is a luxury.
