That would put him at about the same size as Justin Smith, depending on what they ate for lunch that day.

Justin is a rare kind of guy that can perform with that size because of his non-stop motor, I'd prefer my 3-4 DE's a little bigger though (in strength, not fat ) but to hear he played at 285 at least eases my concerns.

BTW I'm not trying to take a shot at Bailey, I like him he's a beast (no homo)

Yah, Bailey should be able to add enough weight to play the 5 technique, or be a 4-3 DE/DT along the lines of Justin Tuck.

Exactly. I think Everette Brown's height dropped him out of the 1st round a few years ago. Haven't heard of him doing too much.

Is Jones a prospect at ILB, or OLB?

ILB, I suppose he COULD make the transition to OLB but coming in he was supposed to be one of the top, if not the top, ILB in the draft

ILB. He didn't have a good Bowl game against Alabama either. It wasn't just him on defense but he wasn't much of a factor.

Currently people have a 2nd round grade on him. He had a great career at Michigan State but it'll be interesting to see how the scouts view him after showing up shorter than 6'.

Some impressive vitals:

DE/OLB Pierre Allen, 6'4", 273, and with a 35 3/8 arm length. Teams love those long-armed OLB's.

Ricky Stanzi, 6'4", 221

Derek Sherrod, 6'5 5/8", 312 pounds. Taller and heavier than expected.

And, I think somewhat of a moral victory for Von Miller coming in close to 240 pounds, at 237. I thought he would be closer to 230 pounds. Now, most guys drafted to play that 3-4 OLB role are 255+ pounds, so he still has to convice scouts and coaches that he is not too light to man the edge.

I think both guys are real solid players.

I like Patrick more than Smith in terms of playmaking ability, but think both will impress this week especially against this weak crop of WRs.

Edit: Although it is also a little Joe Montana-ish so what do I know.

Looks like you already edited it...but it's not Montana-ish. Montana was 6'2.

Brees is 6'0.

There are limiting factors to being shorter but it's hardly a death sentence.

I'll be watching Stanzi closely. He's got the size and weight I love in a man.
