Neither! Luck is worth trading up for... but no other QB in first is worth a damn except Locker if you had the time to let him sit and learn.
Stanzi has value outside of the 1st...
Patrick Petersen or Prince Amukamara with our 1st rounder and Stanzi in 2nd would be my prefered option, let Troy Smith do this thing until Stanzi is ready

Locker and Luck IMO are the only 2 guys worth picking high. And if they are both gone (real possible) I would pick something else and QB later.

He's not gonna be a sure thing after such little time as a starter at top college level. But Sanchez isn't doing too bad in New York, is he?
So did Matt Leinart, so that really doesn't mean anything

Yes he is. Perhaps you didn't realize he played this year with a broken rib and deep thigh bruise... With broken ribs you can barely breathe much less throw a ball.
Locker when healthy has a million dollar arm and million dollar legs. He's worth taking high and the best overall athlete at QB in the draft.

I'm a pocket passer fan and I have been a Ryan Mallet fan. So Ryan Mallet would be my choice. Cam Newton is pretty good, but I don't think his style really translates well in the pros and if it does injuries may shorten his career the way he plays. I see so many crappy false inputs about Mallet stats and production that I just completely stop responding to some post. But there are still people that would pick Locker over Mallet,Newton, and Stanzi! That's why I stop debating with some posters, If they think that guy is better than those 3 Qb's that means you just love him.

Mallet has a good upside IMO. Very strong arm. Very big guy by stature. I only question these.
~ Decision making.
~ Accuracy.

Get back to me when locker can hit 60% of his passes.
Think what you want about newtons ability to play the QB position in the pros but he is the best overall athlete at his position and its not even close.

Accuracy percentage is actually not bad considering the type of offense he is in and the number of times he threw the football and the distance he is throwing it! Decision making can definitely improve, but I would never take away his aggressive attacking nature, those translate to pass interferance in the NFL! I hate to say it but the popular pocket passing QB's keep their drive alive with pass interferance calls. We are victims on alot of those crappy calls.

NO. He doesn't have the arm of Locker. Not even close. He can be wild and inconsistent (Newton).

Ok let me clear this up for you since you're having trouble. I'd take Mallett over Newton.

Yes so would I... But I'd rather have Locker over both.
