I'm sure we could all pinpoint a higr mistake that was made, resulting in the current state of the Niners. Alex over Aaron, giving Sing an extension, etc..
I was thinking about the domino effect of the Chilo draft selection.. I get that hindsight is 20/20, but if the Niners would have selected D Jackson over Chilo things might look very different. Consider this..
Jackson on the roster may have led the Niners to select M Oher over Crabtree in 2009, that selection would have allowed the team to select BPA in 2010. MAybe Earl Thomas? I get that you could go back and cherry pick through any draft and build a dream team, but steps 2 and 3 of this scenario would have been very likely if the Niners had picked Jackson over Rachel.
This team would look a good deal better if we swapped Rachel, Crabtree and Davis for Desean Jackson, Oher and Thomas

Would this staff even know how to use Jackson? I doubt it. He's a pretty flimsy blocker, I bet he'd be the 3rd WR, struggling for playing time.

I highly doubt that. Do you honestly think he would be behind Morgan and someone else as our #3 receiver? Its not that hard to use him, just tell him to run straight haha.

Our fans have went through this a million times but hindsight is 20/20. Problem is most of our fans wanted those picks over who our front office took.

I hate when people do this.
You realize that if we drafted Aaron Rodgers he would most likely be in the same position as Alex because our coaching staff is terrible.
Desean Jackson wouldnt have nearly the stats therefore wouldnt have the same credit as he does now because our offense loves running to much.
Put crabtree on the eagles and hes gonna be just as good. Different type of receiver but just as good.
Finally, coaching to me is a reason Chilo is looking terrible. Other teams wanted him in the second round so at the time it wasnt a terrible pick. With good coaching he'll be fine.
I dont look back at our drafts and say we should have taken blah blah blah.
I look at the talent we are wasting because of lazy and undisciplined coaching.

How about if we would have taken Jackson and Chilo, instead of Balmer and Chilo?

And you think those new players would have the same impact on the Niners and we would now be a playoff team?
