Precisely, I think we're going to trade up a packaged deal to get him tomorrow (49th + Manny Lawson/David Baas/next year's 2nd ect.).
I just simply think Sing is still bitter over Scot not moving up to snatch Maualuga last year out of the second round. Sing really wants Mays, and if there's an opportunity Baalke aka 'balls of steel' will take a shot at it.
We need to draft a talented safety that would move Mark Roman off our f**king team for good, it's not even an option anymore.

I agree that SS needs to be upgraded, but I don't think its a top priority tomorrow. I think the Niners will give current players on their roster a chance first and then look at it next year.
I'm going to narrow my prediction. I predict CB, and either OLB or NT.

Im truthfully hoping Taylor Mays falls all the way to our Pick 49! But I doubt that will occur.
But, we need a nice hard hitting safety with ball hawking skills...and that will be Reshad Jones!
And in Round 3, we get what i believe the steal of the draft...Dexter McCluster..A copy of Chris Johnson, just a tad bit smaller. Adds much needed speed to a speed needy team!
What do you guys think?
What are your projections for the next two rounds!
Do not be surprised if we trade Lawson for a 4th rounder
It'd be nice if we could get a 3rd for Lawson.
True. If we dont get the CB/S we want in round 2 or 3. Dre Bly and Walt Harris better have their cell phones ready.
Guy I wouldn't mind is Chris Cook from Virginia. Big corner at like 6'1'' or something, runs a fast 40, and had some INTs. He should be around in the second. I thought he looked good in the Senior Bowl. I wouldnt mind Chad Jones, Morgan Burnett, or Reshad Jones either. But if we could get a 3rd for Lawson or a 4th/5th for Baas or something that'd give us a few more options.

Wait how do you guys know Sing wants Mays? Personally I'd prefer a guy like Chad Jones.

More offensive linemen. We need to use all of our picks on that position.
I don't think I want any more OL at least not until late. My only exception would be possibly C in the 3rd (Tennant or Walton).
Guys I am looking at:
Sergio Kindle (Probably Gone)
Nate Allen
Morgan Burnett
Reshad Jones
Chad Jones
Dominque Franks
AOA
If these guys are gone:
Perrish Cox
Lamarr Houston
Brandon Ghee
Taylor Mays (lowest on list, maybe if no other safety is available)
Koa Misi (would rather go CB/S first)
Dexter McCluster (again, wold rather go CB/S first)
LeftBank might have be having some fun with sarcasm. Anyways, I think we need to get a CB. We got really bad depth there. Even if we grab a safety, we'll try him at corner anyways pretty much guaranteed. If we were going to grab a big fat dude in the 3rd, then I think it'd be trying to get an NT to back up Franklin. C can wait til next year after that first round.

lol @ the people saying Taylor Mays and Sergio Kindle.
first off, Mays is so overrated. he cant cover and bites on coverage to make big hits. Pete Carroll was looking for a playmaking S for his new team, and his former USC star S was there, but he said "NOPE! give me Earl Thomas."
and Sergio Kindle has narcolepsy. you want him falling asleep mid-play? plus we have LB coming out our ears.

I want DBs for the second round and third round, if we make the playoffs, gotta face a lot of passing teams, if you got playmakers you can dial in from anywhere, you won't know where the blitz is coming from and who is sitting back to cover. Just like the saints and jets do.
2nd
Nate Allen
Morgan Burnett
3rd
Perish Cox
Javier Arenas (he may be small, but Ginn is good at returning kicks, he is not as good at punt returns, arenas is better, plus he just makes plays, 5 int, 5 pass defensed, 5 sacks, and 4 hurries, and 11 tackles for losses, 71 tackles, plus you know he is well coached having Saban as his coach where you better run to the ball. Show me a corner as productive-Haden? gone-lets not get hooked up size, remember darrel green? )

Between rounds 2 and 3, I'd like a DB and a passrusher or Offensive Weapon.

If you go to walterfootball.com you'll see they have us selecting koa misi (OLB from Utah) in the second round. In the third round they have us selecting jordan shipley (WR from Texas). I like both of those picks. Jordan shipley is considered a bigger faster wes welker, he caught more than 100 balls his senior yr. Also Koa misi was very good too, nfl.com doesn't say not one thing bad about the kid. I really like both of these guys and say the niners actually drafted them ... would you guys be happy? Here are the links of both players and nfl.com's analysis.

i like both but i think we need the best cb available in the 2nd and if it's too much of a reach than i guess OLB would be good. I would like a good safety to back up or take over for Lewis but who knows about what our management is thinking with Smith and the guy from LSU last yr as safeties already on the team
