i for one would love that draft all our needs are filled however i doubt trent williams drops all the way to 17
Why Murphy at CB over Cox and Arenas (CB/PR's)? Just want to know your reasoning behind that pick? Like the first three..........
Nice job. I would not be unhappy with it.

You think Seattle would pass on T. Williams at #14 tho, since they'd need him at LT to protect their new QB?

Maybe take T. Williams at #13 and then Haden at #17?

Williams I think has been a little over hyped and people went bonkers after his combine. Up until the combine he was usually pegged as the 3rd best OT due to his struggles at LT this past year. The consensus has always been he's a very strong RT and that's his best spot. Okung, Bulaga, Davis, and Brown were all LT's in college so the transition should be easier because the basics aren't foreign to them. Yes, Williams could be gone for sure, but I don't see it being a lock yet.
I think if Mount Cody is there in the 2nd, he has to be a serious possibility. I'd rather wait until the 3rd to 5th round to get a Guard, because there are quite a few of them, and get an NT/CB/S in round 2 if we didn't in round 1.

Even though Scotty is gone the basic draft principles still remain, size does matter at certain positions. Arenas is only 5'9 and considering a 3rd round CB should be expected to actually play his position, he's too short for are liking.

Cox so far has shown attitude problems and the flags I would expect will be raised. He was suspended from the Cotton Bowl after violating team rules and was banned from working out for pro scouts at the school's facility. Also was arrested for speeding and driving with a suspended license in September 2009. The kid has loads of talent and the argument that Sing can straighten him out sounds great....but he (Sing) has 52 other guys to worry about. Would I be pissed if we took him....of course not, I just have doubts that Trent would take a risk this high in his first draft.

If Trent makes it to us at 13 then my argument holds water, scouts see him as a RT. If that is the actual case I can see Sea passing on him and waiting to fill that role. With the comments by Sing and Trent regarding returners and RB's I think the front office has a hard on for Spiller. Sing's biggest request once the season ended was find me a return guy. The 2 early games Gore was out we lost and another possibly 2 (I don't remember how many) we lost due to horrible ST play. Face it, if we won those we would of been in the playoffs. Spiller will be picked if he's on the board and with 5 OT's grading out as first round talent, if we miss on one we can get another.

IF both Berry and Spiller are gone then I think Haden will be the pick.

IF we are looking for a DT I would rather have one that can play more then 2 downs before he needs a break.

Sound reasoning...........I could live with that.

Seattle still takes Clausen with Whitehurst?
Jreff you are crazy! Williams at 17! That being said, I would like it. And anything can happen on the day

Would totally love the first 3!

Clausen is the better QB, considering Whitehurst has never gotten real playing time BPA w/QB would still apply.

But they gave up a reasonable amount for him. Why even do that trade if they plan to take Clausen?

And i love the 49ers picks in this mock.
