why wouldn't they just get Dwyer(probably misspelled) or the guy from Rutgers. Contrary to populare belief, there are some good running backs in this class.

There are major questions about Dwyer playing in a pro style offense. The guy from Rutgers you speak of was drafted last year (Ray Rice). Who are you talking about from Rutgers?

My bad, the guy from Stanford. White RB's all look alike. Jokin. Nobodys talkin about him but he is a beast. Ran pretty good at the combine and he's like 230 lbs.

Im going to correct myself first, I was thinking about the guy before Ray Rice from Rutgers.

you don't know anything about ray rice, do you?

So, quite a few mock drafts and analysts now have Ryan Matthews going to the Texans at 20. Knowing this, do you guys think there's a possibility of SD trading for our 17th pick in order to nab Matthews? I would assume they want Matthews over Spiller or Best since he's a bigger, more powerful runner that can compliment Sproles' scat-back style.

Going off the trade value calculator, SD would have to give us something like their 1st, 3rd and 5th round picks. Of all the teams near the bottom of the first round, I just feel this would be the most likely trade down scenario for the niners, and would allow us to pick up either Jahvid Best or Jerry Hughes, depending on who's there, and leaving room for Owusu-Ansah in the 2nd along with now 2 3rd rounders. What do you guys think, is it possible or am I just dreaming?

Another good trade is to send the 17 and 49, and 142 to San Diego for the 28, 40, and 91 -- perfectly-even trade. I think there will be a lot more value at 40 than 49, and we can get two #3s.

That would also put us in position to possible trade into the back end of rd 1 if a steal is available. The #40 and the #91 equal the #25. So we can pick at 13, 25, 28, and 79!

I see no compelling reason to do anything...other than stand pat in an effort to get one of the best OT's and hopefully Iupati at #17. But, it all depends on how Singletary/Baalke's draft board is structured. If some team's willing to give up an additional pick, it might be worth doing. However, I get the distinct impression just about every team's going to hang on to as many picks as they can, given the uncertainty WRT the 2011 season.

screw moving down..i use to hate it when we use to trade down year after year
We need impact players not depth so I would stay in the first round.

Hell yeah, I would pull the trigger on that deal in a heart beat, or if there was some way we could get their 2nd and either their 3d or 4th round choice and next years first if they were aiming for a player like Dan Williams and thought that Matthews would be there for them with their first as well. Id be ok with this, as long as we get 2 picks this year and their first of next.
what is a possilibty?!?!?!
