I don`t think Dez Bryant will be there, but I really not buying ticket on the Draft Spiller Bandwagon. I would rather go in many diffrent direction and think he is not good value as Jahvid Best and Jacoby Ford offer similair speed on special teams and catching passes out of the backfield/slot and can be had in the second round.
Anyway, if Dez Bryant is still avilable at 13, what would you do?
I assume the draft will go roughly like this:
1) Bradford
2) Suh
3) McCoy
4) Okung
5) Bulaga
6) Clausen
7) Berry
8) Campbell
9) Trent Williams
10) Morgan
11) Dan WIlliams
12) JPP
13) ???
What do you think the 9ers should do in this (or a similair) situation

If he's available, I'd take him over Spiller. I just don't think he will be. I know it's gonna look a lot like the Lions, but we need as many offensive playmakers as possible. Might not be the best for the team to have two young Deion Sanders affiliated WRs though. For some reason I don't like the sound of it in terms of team chemistry. You'd need a really good QB (which we don't have) to keep both of them and VD happy.
I can see a few teams taking him that pick before us though.

I believe Dez Bryant at 6'2" 220 lbs. and the top rated WR in the draft will be gone by #13. I can't imagine a scenario where he falls to that #. Spiller is one of the top rated game breakers in the draft. But at about 5'10" 195 lbs. he is not all that big. IMO it's only his size that gives him the chance to fall to #13. If he's 10 lbs. bigger and 2 inches taller he is a sure top 10 guy. I do believe however that if we want Spiller we have to take him at #13. I don't think we get another shot at #17. He will go in between those picks if still available.

I voted for Spiller here, but would have strongly considered Bulaga + Trent W. if they had been available. We can still get a good OT a few picks later, and Spiller would add a very nice + explosive offensive weapon.

I would take Dez over Spiller; I have doubts whether Spiller can be an every-down back and return men are only effective for 3 or 4 years (returning is a young man' game).
Remember that we're drafting a right tackle here, not a left; a RT can be taken in the 2nd round...we can go with a defensive player at 17.

See i disagree. If you look at the Spiller, he is a gamechanger, but he neither has the speed nor explosion to that of a chris johnson and he has low positional value (HB are a dime a dozen). I mean, Spiller would help any team alot, but I just don't see him as top 10 talent. I think he is top 15-20 (closer to 15), but due to chris johnson's 2k year and Felix Jones's performance in the playoffs, people are looking for that kind of player.
Meanwhile, Dez is definitely top 10 talent, but so is Derrick Morgan. Dez will not go top 10 due to character issues and alot of teams looking for OTs and Morgan will be hurt becuase of the OTs and alot of teams switching to a 3-4.
There are gonna be players to be had in the late teens that are gonna be steals due to alot of team drafting for need rather than BPA (Bryant, Morgan, Haden, McClain). Anyway thats just my opinion.

I just cant see 'enough' reasons to take Spiller in the first at all. If 'another' Crabtree 1st round happened to us again in '10 (Dez), then how could you say no. Could this happen to us two years in a row? I could only wish for such things. We do not pick high enough to get top OT talent anyway. Someone mentioned that we 'only' need a RT. What we need is a dominant LT so that Staley can be moved to the RT spot and solidify it. Enough with the experiments

No, we need a RT. Staley got injured last year but is still REALLY good at what he does, an athletic pass protector similar to Bryan Bulaga without the polish. Anthony Davis at 17 would be a great pickup as he is a big guy with a long reach and a mean streak. But Dez at 13 and Davis at 17 would bring our offense to another level and improve our Pass game and run game immensely.
