If Colt McCoy is available at the Niners Second Round Pick

Alex Smith has one year left on his contract, if he does not do well, he is done in SF. Nate Davis is an interesting prospect, and I am a fan of him. However I feel if Colt McCoy drops, I would rather see Nate Davis/Colt McCoy on the roster than Nate Davis and another rookie next year and a band aid veteran.

Nate Davis will be better in year two than any rookie Qb we could bring in. If Alex does not lead this team to the playoffs then Davis will be ready in year 3

Then who will be in back of Davis, or will we keep Smith as a 2-4 million dollar back-up??

I say Colt will be there in the 4th round. Lefevour, Pike and Snead will all go in front of him.
