Conor Barwin

They tried to trade for him so I'm sure they'll reach out. He should have many suitors and I can see him opting for a 3-4 team
Here's what I don't get...the Niners tried to make a trade to get Barwin before they released him...the Eagles tried to make a trade to get Torrey Smith in 2016. Philly ends up signing TS...so it'd only be poetic justice for Lynch to sign CB. Just like CB's, you can never have too many pass rushers.
Sign this guy up now that he is released
I am boarderline all in on this guy. Give this guy a a sack incentive for a difference of 5-8 million, base around 7 million. 5 million if you reach 12 sacks, 8 million if you reach 17 sacks. Hey if he has a monster 17 sack season I'd pay him 15 million all day haha.

I think a 3 year deal, 21 million(15 guaranteed) would be solid and then we can nail this draft.
One thing for sure - he's a Football player.

He'd be a fine addition.

Not sure how he'd fit into KS/JL plans.

He's done
Would be nice addition but mite be looking for big money still.
I think he hit the roof year before last. On the way down.
If he comes cheap enough on a 1 or 2 year deal, then I'm game. He can contribute immediately, and help teach the young guys how to succeed.
I keep checking my phone waiting to see if we signed him. I think the team is definitely in negotiations with his agent. If we looked at trading for him then it's probably a compensation thing. Two years ago, this guy was looking like he was going to be a monster.

3-4 OLB is his where he fits, but the team must see him as either depth at LEO or an upgrade at SAM.

He's definitely not a SAM. It's LEO or nothing for Barwin, and I'm hoping for the "or nothing" because he's simply not that great of a player. He's a pretty good DE.

We need a leo pretty badly.
