Since I helped you, can you help me? I need trade advice. I give: A.Gates, S.Greene, R.Grant, I get: V.Jackson, M.Forte. Should I pull the trigger?
That's a tough trade question. Mainly because Grant is such an unknown right now, and Gates is always a huge injury concern. I think I would do the trade, because I like Forte more than a lot of people do, and Gates and Grant both scare me. I think making the trade is the safer option. But I think you have a higher ceiling with what you have.
What other TEs and WRs do you have? Do you need VJack? And who will be starting at TE?
And thanks for the advice on my team. I went White, Gore, Blount, Romo, Clark. I really think Blount is going to be one of the top RBs this year. I could be totally wrong, but he has very little competition for carries, is a workhorse type back, and plays for a good offense.
But your point about depth is well founded. It's tough in my league. Not a lot of good players left. I'm really trying to gamble what I can get lucky with just one other player. My theory was that if I had 5 boom or bust type guys on my bench maybe one of them would turn out to be a good regular start.
I picked up Javon Ringer (going without a kicker until the last minute) just in case the Chris Johnson thing doesn't get resolved by week 1.
The next best WR options out there are Bess and Jerome Simpson. But I'm not sure either of them are better than what I have.
