Fantasy Baseball Trade Advice

Hi there guys, I need a little Baseball advice for my UK based keeper league.

I've been offered:
Teixeira
Carlos Santana
Sandoval or Beckham (has 2B/3B option)

for

Posey
Pedroia
James Shields

My current team is:

C Posey
1B Morales
2B Kinsler
3B Young
SS Rollins
OF Holliday
OF Abreu
OF Victorino
UTIL Pierre
UTIL Hunter
Bench/Injured Pedroia
Bench/Injured Sizemore

SP Hanson
SP Cahill
SP Wainwright
SP Anderson
SP Cain
SP Billingsley
SP Lewis
SP Carpenter
SP Shields
RP Papelbon
RP Franklin

Need to declare 17 keepers. Other guy really wants Posey. Thoughts?

I'd pass, or push for more if he really wants him. Posey has proven himself as a catcher, a difficult position to find. And Pedroia will bounce back at the top of a loaded lineup.

This is a trade I would consider. You need power big time and Tex would give that to you. However, I would push for someone better than Beckham or Sandoval as the 3rd player back.

What about swapping out Pedroia for Kinsler?

He does have Stanton/Prado/Ethier/Andrus on his roster?

What about swapping out Pedroia for Kinsler?

He does have Stanton/Prado/Ethier/Andrus on his roster?

I would see just how much he wants Posey by offering this:

Posey, Kinsler, and Shields for Tex, Stanton or Ethier, and Santana.

If he says yes to that I would jump all over it.

Cool. Will be interested to see if he accepts. If so, you got yourself a steal. Santana and Stanton will be awesome keeper picks to go along with Tex. Santana isnt THAT far behind Posey in upside.

Update:

I would still do it. I must admit though I like it much better with Kinsler in the deal and not Pedroia. Shields is meaningless in the deal so its basically Pedroia and Posey for Stanton, Tex, and Santana.

I think Pedroia is gonna be a valuable asset with the addition on Adrian Gonzalez to the lineup. Although Pedroia was hurt last year....Kinsler is ALWAYS hurt.

No question at all that the deal is better for Rose giving up Kinsler and not Pedroia. I still think its worth it though. If this is a long term keeper league then Stanton could be huge.
