Looking to upgrade DEF thru trade or waiver, NEED HELP

I have two problems with my team right now, my DEF isn't that great, and I need more WR depth. Here's my roster (12 team league):

QB - Aaron Rodgers
WR - Reggie Wayne
WR - Ochocinco
WR - Patrick Crayton
RB - Frank Gore
RB - Derrick Ward
TE - Jeremy Shockey
W/R - Cedric Benson
K - Neil Rackers
D - NE
BN - Shonn Greene
BN - Ray Rice
BN - Willis McGahee
BN - Donnie Avery
BN - Brett Favre
BN - Fred Taylor

And the other issue, silly as it might sound, is that I really don't like rooting for NE. So here are my options:

1. Drop NE and pick up WASH instead (they face the Rams this week)

2. Trade NE D and a good RB (McGahee or Ward) for TEN D and Burleson

What makes sense to you guys? I feel like giving up a good RB might be unwise, even tho I have a surplus.

Other DEFs that are available on the waiver are: Miami, Atlanta, Arizon, Seatle, SF, Buffalo, Carolina.

LOL. I tried New Orleans versus Detroit last week. Going Denver versus Browns this week.

Washington's defense looks good. They played well against the Giants. They will crush the Rams.

Oh man. I just picked them up and then looked at the rest of their schedule. How awesome is this?

That's a 5 week stretch I can live with.

I do the same. Unless you have one of the top 5 d's, u r better off just pickin up whoever plays the rams!
